The 275-room Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort and Conference Center is the most complete resort destination on the Monterey Peninsula. The resort is on 22 coastal acres just minutes from Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach. It is ideally suited for business conventions or family vacations. The property has a full complement of leisure facilities on site and a new full-service spa featuring 12 exclusive spa suites. There are jogging paths and cycle trails and bicycles available for rent.The resort has 32 meetings rooms and 40.000 square feet of function space to handle conferences and exhibitions.

Professional and attentive staff gets high praise from former visitors. There were complaints about over-pricing and dated rooms. That stopped when the resort completed a $45 million renovation project. This is a golfer’s paradise. In addition to the adjacent course the famed Pebble Beach Golf Course is six miles away and there are other course nearby. Hyatt Regency Monterey Accommodations

The least expensive rooms come with a choice of one king or two double beds and the fully-equipped modern bathrooms have a hairdryer. Other amenities include a work desk with Internet access, cable TV with in-room pay movies, IDD telephone with voicemail, electronic door lock, iron and ironing board, bottled water and coffee maker. Safe deposit boxes are available at the front desk. Room service is available from 6.30am until 11.30am and then from 5pm until 10pm.

Dining options include the hotel’s new TusCA Ristorante, open for breakfast lunch and dinner with the cuisines of Tuscany and California, and Knuckles Historical Sports Bar which offers drinks and snacks. The hotel has two heated, outdoor, free-form pools and two outdoor whirlpools, a fully-equipped fitness club and a full service tennis facility. The hotel is adjacent to the Pebble Beach Company’s Del Monte Golf Course where guests get special rates. The 24-hour front desk handles currency exchange and can arrange for laundry and dry cleaning and babysitters. There is a business center and gift shop on-site and soda and ice machines are located throughout the property.

From Monterey Peninsula Airport (1 1/2 miles): Turn right on Garden Road, left on Mark Thomas Dr. Hotel is on the left. From San Francisco or San Jose (traveling South on Highway 101): From 101 South, take the 156 West exit in the Prunedale area, just North of Salinas. Stay on 156 West for 6 miles until you reach Highway 1. Take Highway 1 South for 13.2 miles, then take the Monterey exit. The exit ramp drops onto Fremont Street, turn left onto Aguajito Road. At the second signal light, turn left onto Mark Thomas Drive and turn right into the hotel. Approximate distances: San Francisco - 117 miles; from SF Airport - 102 miles; from San Jose - 70 miles. From Los Angeles (traveling north on Highway 101): From 101 North, take the Monterey Peninsula exit at Salinas. After exiting, turn right onto Sanborn Rd. At the 5th light, turn left onto Highway 68 West/Main St. Follow Highway 68 for 15 miles to the stoplight at Olmstead Rd. Turn right towards the Monterey Peninsula Airport. Take the first left onto Garden Road. Continue to the end of Garden Road. At the traffic light, take a left at Fairground Road which turns into Mark Thomas Drive. Turn left at the first traffic light leading you into the hotel driveway. Approximate distance from Los Angeles city limit - 350 miles.
