Standard Courtyard Hotel. Clean, convenient, Internet available. If my son decides to attend UC Merced, I will likely stay there again. Only negative is that they did charge for the breakfast.

Clean, easily accessible from highway 99.

Wireless Internet did not work (no signal) in my room (wired did, however).

Travelers to Merced are delighted with this hotel. They rate it as the best place in a town known as the Gateway to Yosemite. When the hotel opened many said at last the town had a hotel of which it could be proud. The rooms are modern, spacious and well equipped and the employees are both efficient and friendly. Most guests said they would not stay anywhere else and have no problem recommending this property to others.
