Hotels shouldn't be allowed to raise their rates 300% just because it is an event weekend. I can accept 20% increase or even 30% but 300% is totally unacceptable.

Good BBQ dinner.

Price gouge because it was a race weekend! Unacceptable!

For the price this hotel did the job. It was close to the beach and Monterey. It looked nice from the outside, and the rooms were clean, but not very comfortable. Tiny rooms with rock hard beds and the batteries in the TV remote were dead. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay near Monterey I'd recommend it, but if you're looking for a nicer more romantic room look elsewhere.

The room was tiny and the bed was hard as a rock.

The 114-room Quality Inn Monterey Beach Dunes is four miles from California State University and provides affordable quality accommodation designed for the vacationer but equally suited to the business traveler. Items included with the room rate are a continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room coffee and parking. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 20 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include several golf courses, Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach, Monterey's Fishermans Wharf, Carmel-by-the-Sea and shopping at the Del Monte Center.

According to frequent visitors to Marina this is a wonderful hotel across the street from the Marina State Beach with reasonably priced comfortable rooms with patios that have super views of Monterey Bay. Several couples said this Quality Inn is perfectly priced for an affordable weekend getaway. The cheerful crew of employees do a top notch job insuring that everyone has a good time and most guests say the cannot wait to return to this property.
