The Marriot was very nice. But sadly, our stay wasn't nearly worth the money, because the cleaning staff woke us up at 8:50am shouting back and forth to each other in front of room 359. This was on September 25th. They didn't seem to have a clue, that we had paid hard-earned money to get a good night's sleep in the room they stood before. I had to open the door in my boxer shorts and ask them to keep their voices down. Following that, the dense maid, still raised her voice to chat with her cohort about how she was running low on towels. Someone should explain firmly to the cleaning staff how to respect their guests.

It was beautiful and had nice amenities.

The cleaning staff rudely woke us up.

The 373-room Marriott Manhattan Beach provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price equally suited to families on vacation or the business traveler. The seven-story, non-smoking hotel sits on 26 landscaped acres in the upscale beach community of Manhattan Beach just south of Los Angeles International Airport. The full-service hotel has a nine-hole golf course and there are five 18-hole courses a short drive away. The property is to close shopping, restaurants, and minutes from Southern California's premier beaches. There are 22 meeting rooms available for business of social functions. The largest, the Manhattan Ballroom, can accommodate 900 guests. Nearby landmarks and attractions include the Venice Boardwalk, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

This hotel gets good reviews about its location, close to the airport and a short drive from the beach, and efficient and friendly service from a professional crew of employees. Many were impressed by the driveway to the hotel and the golf course views from the rooms. Sadly, many thought the hotel was in need of upgrading and being transferred into the twenty first century. Hopefully Marriott will heed the warning so get guests will return here before they discover more up-to-date accommodation in the area.
