Okay, but could use improvement - posted on 05/30/2007
Our room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel gave us a crib (ie. playpen) for our 2 year old. Our bathroom had no fan and got very stuffy. The toilet bowl looked dirty and no one had cleaned the underside of the sink in who knows how long. The swimming pool was smaller than what it looked like in the pictures, but the gym looked like it had nice equipment. Parking was expensive! $32 a night. And if you forgot something in your car, good luck getting it. I don't think I'd come back again.
great place - posted on 05/21/2007
Me and my wife enjoyed our stay here. we were in town for a wedding and as a late honey moon. the building was beautiful and fun to be in. the only thing i did not like was the extra charge for parking as it seemed to be to high. we later found cheaper parking on olive st.. the hotel was near all of our destinations for that week and we had no problems finding our ways around down town. the staff was helpfull and even gave us maps to local attractions. in all we had a blast. the only set back was that there was no fridge, iron, or microwave in the room.
Biltmore, a past glory - posted on 03/29/2007
The old Biltmore stands still lovely in architecture, but needs better housekeeping management. Not a good sample of a great hotel in this department.
Nice historical place - posted on 07/05/2006
Nice historical hotel. Could have better TV and free internet access. I would enjoy if it had smal refrigerator and microwave in the room or at lease in every story available.
impressive... - posted on 01/16/2006
My room was small, as should be expected in an old hotel. It was very comfortable though, and the staff was accomodating - even for business travel. I didn't get to make use of the dining or any other ammenities, but the lobbies and banquet rooms, anterooms had great charm and plenty of detail. Plus, they were filming a movie a block away on Wilshire, so I went and mingled with the extras...(Probably no big deal for a SoCal native, but for me it was a first and probably last time on a movie set...)

WOW!!! what a beautiful hotel. my experience there was perfect. our room was HUGE and clean. LOVED Starbucks and the pool area is fantastic!! Valet parking @ $22 with unlimited in/out was well worth it. I'd stay here again. Super Location!!
Tired Rooms - posted on 12/11/2004
We had stayed here about 10 years ago and had enjoyed it. Apparently rooms haven't been touched since. Very tired and dirty. No dressers in the rooms (couldn't unpack). Bedspreads were ancient. Really needs to refurbish the rooms. Lobby is grand, but the rest is not good. Also, coffee bar was closed on Thanksgiving morning and restaurant would not sell or give us a cup of coffee...Only option was $10 room service...Bad. Walked across the street to Checkers for a coffee. Will stay there next time too.
