I would return to this hotel but with lower expectations.
The hotel has a lot of great architecture in the middle of downtown.
The room was a little claustrophobic; behind the window was a brick building very close to hotel.

The Biltmore is a wonderful historic hotel. The rooms with double beds are extra large compared to your typical hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful with tips for getting around LA. We have stayed here twice and enjoyed each visit. Our only gripe is that the valet parking is $32 per day! Unfortunately, there aren't any safe and cheaper alternative places to park in the area. They make their money back on the parking! Overall, a pleasant experience at this hotel.
We loved the beautiful public areas and large rooms! The downtown LA location is central to all attractions.

The Millennium Biltmore is a magical hotel that will transport you to a different era, when LA was art-deco-fab. The rooms have molding, the windows are paned. The door to the bathroom has checkered ventilation at the bottom -- little quirks that you'll find endearing. The only bad part of the stay was the $40 valet parking and no other alternative. I understand that parking your car in LA is expensive, and valet is too, but if there was a cheaper alternative I would've taken it. The cost of parking during our long weekend stay practically added another night onto the bill. One improvement to the hotel itself would be to make the main reception lobby less empty. I guess when the hotel is at capacity, it's filled with the hustle and bustle of guests, but I had the feeling I was at a decorator's showcase or an open house for the hotel, and not like it was a real live hotel.

The hotel was in LA. The only parking option was $40 this was more than half the price of the room. And the only downside to our stay.

Each of the 683 guest rooms are elegantly furnished with deep hardwoods, plush draperies and marble bathrooms. Rooms are fully equipped with all the modern luxuries: high-speed Internet access, satellite TV, two telephones, pay per view, desk, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and coffee/tea maker
while maintaining that old world charm. Amenities offered
With more than 70,000 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space, business functionality is the main amenity of the Biltmore. Otherwise, there is ground level retail complete with a flower shop, salon, and restaurant not to mention laundry, valet, pool, child care and 24 hour room service (which can be AWESOME, as most of Downtowns eateries close early). The most helpful amenity is the multi-lingual concierge staff. Martha, the head concierge, is knowledgeable about all things Downtown and is very friendly and helpful.

A great choice for business travelers and tourists, alike. As a former concierge in the area, I have recommended this hotel to many people, never having heard an ill word about it. It is a historic masterpiece, and (as youd expect) the rooms are small. What sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail
and location, location, location. It is a block away from just about anywhere in the Downtown area youd ever want to be.
