Room for improvement - posted on 12/20/2006
This room cost me $100NZ per night. There?s a 7-8 min shuttle ride from the airport (free) and they leave every 20mins. I wasn't blown away by the room. The heating was primitave. The shower was luke . There's in room tea and coffee, though I recommend buying bottled water and milk as the water is horrible. The restaurant was being renovated. MacDonads is next door and an internet cafe (good breaky) across the road $5US/30 mins. Overall, I wouldn't stay there again if I had the choice, but being able to get a room for $100NZ a night was a decent deal for what I was after.

My visit was for business, the staff were very helpful in meeting all my needs.I requested a room near the back of the hotel for privacy and quiet time in order to concentrate on business needs. I would recommend this hotel to other business travelers.

This hotel is terribly over priced for the quality of the establishment. Good location if you need to go to LAX or LA beaches, otherwise keep looking.

staff was good, service was good, it was a pleasant stay
noisy - posted on 03/18/2006
The interior and the bath room are nice. but it has a big problem, which is noise. The room had old heater/AC, with was noisy. It next to busy street and LAX airport but the window is not dual-pane. so even I stayed in the highest floor the noise was still loud.

no pool when we got there and the rooms were small, no refridge in rooms and the bathroom was tiny.
Mix up in the hotel locations - posted on 11/04/2005
Overall the hotel was fine but upon my arrival, getting the shuttle from the airport, the driver took us to the wrong hotel and when we went to check in we were told to return to the airport for the right hotel. I insisted they make arrangements with the hotel we were at being it was late and they had already billed this room to my visa. After some persuasion, they did.
So Impressed! - posted on 08/26/2005
We stayed at two different resorts plus two different hotels throughout our trip and were SO impressed with the Holiday Inn. The location was great, customer service was wonderful, and the hotel itself was very high quality. We had no problems whatsoever. If I were going to change anything, it would be the deck out of our bedroom as it consisted only of a railing so it wasn't really a deck, just an opening door. However, we will definitely be staying here again!
Disappointed - posted on 06/14/2005
Rooms were clean, but everything smelled like mildew. Parking was $11/ night, which was very upsetting. However, the biggest negative was the excessive street/traffic noise all night & the sound of planes taking off & landing. Also, the housekeeping was very noisy in the mornings. If you value sleep at night, don't stay here. I won't again.

The staff was very pleasant. I didn't like the charge for parking, that seems a little silly. The shuttle service was great.
Overcharged - posted on 02/14/2005
We were charged for check in parking...I was over-charged for the room when I checked my bill it did not match the debit from my account! The staff is VERY vague and insulting when explaining the over-charge. I did not get a refund. Very unhappy with getting ripped off!
dying to get to sleep - posted on 12/09/2004
I was exhausted from my red eye flight from Hawaii and arrived into LAX @ 5 am. A hotel Courtesy shuttle picked me up and took me to the hotel. I checked in without any hassles. I went up to my room and crashed. My room faced the street and it was quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
