Sad, Very Sad! - posted on 03/22/2007

We specifically reserved a nonsmoking room. We were given a stinking smoke infested room and were told that nonsmoking rooms were not guaranteed. Not the best service for people with allergies or breathing problems. Also, bathroom wall was in shabby, peeling, falling apart condition. Definitely not the kind of experience you would expect for the price or ever want to return to.

a pleasant stopover - posted on 02/20/2007

If previous comments by others indicated staff attitude problems, they seem to have been solved. Restaurant and bar servers, front desk, concierge, housekeeping---all friendly and helpful to us. Adjustable mattress firmness was fun. Parking ($13/ night) in adjacent garage worked fine for us.

Good enough - posted on 11/14/2006

This hotel was actually quite nice, and conveniently located near LAX. I felt very safe, and was pleased with my room. Some members of the staff were less than pleasant. Parking was a minor logistical/financial headache as well.

The virtue of this hotel is its proximity to the airport - posted on 09/20/2006

Although the room was satisfactory, the television and the shower did not operate properly. It was difficult to adjust the hot water supply.

NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT - posted on 08/25/2006

My family and I just returned from staying at this hotel. Most of the front desk staff seem irritated to be there. The manager walked away from us while checking us in, to speak with the concierge. The pool was down for 5 of our 7 day stay. When it reopened, it was filthy and there were only 6 lounge chairs and most of them were broken. The deck was covered with dirt and dirty towels were spewn everywhere. Probably OK for the business traveler, not for a family whose kids want pool time.

Service in the Century Restaurant was poor.Shuttle service was poor--they were trying a new system that was NOT working.Rooms were clean and well furnished. Desk service was cheerful, helpful and timely.

Only one tram was running. Although our reservation was guaranteed for late arrival there was no room waiting for us.

Clean & Convenient - posted on 05/05/2006

Convenient location and quiet (wouldn't know is was next to airport unless you look out the window). Terrible, almost innoperable Internet speed. Restaurants include a closed bar, expensive restaurant, and family style. Use room service...much better.

I was greeted warmly and efficiently. Room was pretty and clean. The bed was unusually comfortable and the pillow felt like home.

Location and Price - posted on 01/26/2006

First class dinning, large hotel, nice rooms and close to the airport. Honestly, it really is a great place to stay if you are in town for a night or two and just want to relax with a good meal and a comfortable room.

Water Problem - posted on 01/20/2006

The water would only dribble into the bathtub. We only got enough water in for one bath.We registered a complaint when we left. If my opinion means so much to you, there should be a note about this.

This is a great hotel, excellent attentions, good locations very close to the airport and for those for care personal care they have a great wheat soap for room service.

All staff I came across whether at reception, at the cafe or at room service presented a genuine friendly desire to assist.

Comfortable for a Short Layover - posted on 09/14/2005

It was a decent hotel room for the price paid and was comfortable after a 14 hour intl. flight. Aircraft noise was noticeably absent even as close as the hotel is to LAX. The one restaurant was pretty good, but everything on the menu is a la carte. As a result, dinner, literally, cost almost as much as my room.

Nice Hotel, Close to LAX - posted on 09/09/2005

Very pleased with this hotel; very close to LAX, good shuttle service, clean/nice rooms, very quiet even though rooms overlooked runways

Only if you need to be near airport - posted on 07/17/2005

No restaurants or sights within walking distance. Taxi to downtown = $40+tip (40 min.) Soundproofing OK for planes but not for room next door. Elevators slow; I was stuck in elevator #2 for 10 minutes with 12 others after it stopped 18" below floor level. Front desk very slow to respond. Dining room a bit pricey. Penthouse has OK bar food. Tried to charge twice for final night's stay; dismissive front desk staff. Housekeeping a bright spot.

No sights or restaur. in walking distance. Taxi to museums/downtown about $40 +tip. Front desk unhelpful. Soundproofing OK for planes, not for rm. next door. Dining room expensive, slow svc. I was trapped with 12 others in elev. #2 for 15 min. Front desk slow to respond. If here with lg. group, use stairwells. Needs top-to-bottom mgmt. shakeup. 11th & 12th fl. = "pet friendly" but colleagues on other floors developed rashes . NOT recommended.

unsatisfied - posted on 06/23/2005

I was dissappointed and surprised that a Radison that charges over $X a night would have such poor quality rooms. It wreaked of smoke, the hot/cold water faucet was backwards, and the door to the bathroom creaked.

No Water - posted on 06/16/2005

Basically it was all right, except that the water would only drip into the bathtub and we could get nothing to come from the shower. It took more than twenty minutes to get enough water for a bath and my wife and I both had to use the same water.

Just OK - posted on 04/21/2005

I travel a lot for business. My conference was at this hotel. My air conditioning never did work right even after they came to "fix" it. Water pressure was zilch making for not a great shower experience. But the room was clean and room service was reasonable and came quickly. Fitness room could have used some free weights.
