What's not to like? The room was spacious, and the bed so comfortable and wide that I wasn't bounced a bit by my usually restless husband. Even the towels and pillows smelled good! The underground parking with elevators made trips to the car with luggage a breeze. The staff was very courteous, and the small store with munchies and drinks nearby the front desk was such a blessing when we arrived at 1 a.m. and hungry after a 5 hour flight.

Friendly staff, underground parking, 24-hour general store.

When the air conditioner kicks in, it is a little loud.

I do recommend the Courtyard by Marriott Palo Alto, but be sure to get a room that's not on the 3rd floor. several online reviewers experienced loud generator noises on that floor and couldn't sleep because of it. Most guests did have a great time, though, and felt that the rooms were clean and comfortable. One guest gave the hotel a bad review because the maid was in the elevator. Whatever? The place is clean and the staff is friendly. This one is near to so many local attractions and Courtyard Cafe is well known for its tasty breakfasts (though they're not free.) Guests also enjoyed the pool.
