It was OK, but I felt a lack of attention to detail. We complained several times about the remote control problem. It was supposed to be fixed but never was. Also the beds weren't made because housekeepers misunderstood us, due to language barrier (we didn't want sheets changed). When we explained the situation at the desk, they promised that beds would be made, but they weren't.

Good location, food was good, amenities were generally well serviced.

Hallways were not carefully vacuumed, very cold in lobby and restaurant, remote control malfunctioned, requests were acknowledged but not attended.

Quiet and comfortable. Quality restaurants close by (even on-site). 20 minutes from beach (Monarch). Freeway adjacent for convenience, but no noise intrusion.

Quiet, nice pool area, several access points to hotel (for luggage).

Did not have a room with Queen or King for us--we had to use separate beds. ;-(.

The pet-friendly Holiday Inn Laguna Hills-Irvine-Spectrum is 65 miles south of Los Angeles and comprises 147 rooms designed for both the business and pleasure traveler. Items included with the room rate at this four-story, non-smoking hotel are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, passes to a nearby 24-hour gym, in-room tea and coffee, a morning newspaper and parking. There are 10 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 450 guests. Many guests liked the location of this Holiday Inn midway between Los Angeles and San Diego and close to the Interstate 5 which made it easy to reach the nearby attractions. Several noted that this was one of the few full service hotels in the area and the staff here was full of helpful hints about shopping, dining and sightseeing. Some clients thought some of the accommodation needed upgrading. Despite this most visitors said they would stay here again and had no problem recommending this property to fellow travelers.
