The Hyatt Regency Irvine is a multi-storey hotel with sleek and contemporary interiors awash in muted colors. There are three dining outlets at the hotel, providing different cuisine options from breakfast through to dinner: 6ix Park Grill serves contemporary California grill, Jamboree Café offers quick meals, while casual meals and snacks are available at The Café. The hotel is eight miles from the star-shaped glass-walled Crystal Cathedral and Cove State Park, Orange County’s longest expanse of undeveloped coastline. The General Phineas Banning Residence Museum, a 25-room Greek Revival mansion, stands 25.5 miles away, while the Heritage House, a beautifully preserved Victorian House, is 30 miles away. Beaches and retail shops are a short drive from the hotel.

Rooms are well-appointed and clean, but some guests found the bathrooms a little tiny. The surroundings of the hotel are quiet, and staffs provide attentive service. The hotel offers a daily complimentary shuttle service to and from John Wayne/Orange County Airport beginning at 5.15am on weekdays and 6.15am on weekends at 15 and 45 minutes after the hours, with the last pick up at 11.15pm. The 536 guestrooms and suites of Hyatt Regency Irvine have been renovated recently, and offer city, mountain or pool views. All have individually controlled air conditioning and heating, mini bar, dual line speaker telephone with voicemail, video on demand, work desk, high speed Internet access, iron & board, clock radio, coffee maker, and morning newspaper. The attached bathroom has marble bath, toiletries, and hair dryer. Room service is available during regular hours. Cribs and reduced mobility rooms are available on request.
