Wonderful staff, gorgeous grounds, wonderful spa with elegant appointments. But the beds were way too soft...I suspect because the room was in older section. Room was very nice, though and it was a great value.

Nice resort, but not exceedingly plush. Good location, convenient to downtown Palm Desert which has nice shops and restaurants. Multiple swimming pools to accommodate kids and adults. Well equipped fitness facility and spa with variety of cardio machines and plasma TV's to keep you entertained while working out.

Common areas / lobby were a little dated and run down.

Very nice hotel, clean, rooms were very calm colors. The bed was a little to firm. Food and beverage prices were very high.

I liked that they had a separate pool for children.

I ordered two pitchers of juice one cranberry and one orange from room service it was $57 that is ridiculous.

This luxury resort is spread over 45 acres of lush, landscaped gardens and fountains and has 428 guestrooms, 28 penthouse suites, and 43 one and two bedroom villas with butler service and backyard spas. The Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Palm Springs is home to an award-winning spa, championship golf course, seven swimming pools and three tennis courts. The restaurants offer a choice of indoor or outdoor dining and at weekends there is special live entertainment. The resort has facilities for a family vacation, corporate meetings and seminars or a romantic getaway.

Accommodations

The least expensive accommodation is an expansive 500 square-feet and has views of views of mountains, golf, pool or the resort. There is a choice of king or two double beds and the marble bathrooms have a separate tub and shower, plush robes and hairdryer. Every room has Internet access, coffee maker, satellite TV, dual line phones with voicemail and speakerphone and an in-room safe large enough to store and charge laptop computer. A newspaper is delivered every day and room service is available throughout the day.

The resorts Santa Rose Grille is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. The hotel has a coffee shop and poolside café. Each weekend singer Paul Douglas performs in the Pianissimo Lounge. There is a gift shop on site and the resorts Shopper Hopper is a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel to Palm Desert's world-renowned shopping district, including El Paseo Drive and the Westfield Shopping Town.

No complaints from those who have been fortunate to stay at this upmarket California luxury resort. Prices are high, but so is the quality. There were minor gripes about the cost of drinks and the fact that the swimming pools can get busy. Offsetting that were numerous compliments for the very professional and efficient staff. There was lots of praise for the well-manicured gardens, the large rooms and bathrooms and the golf course.
