The 300-room Coronado Island Marriott Resort, just across the Bay from downtown San Diego, offers luxury accommodation at an affordable price for both the upmarket business and leisure traveler. The three-story, non-smoking hotel has 15 meeting rooms available for business or social events. The largest, the Coronado Ballroom, can accommodate 800 guests. The full-service hotel enjoys spectacular views of the San Diego skyline. Area landmarks and attractions include the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Coronado Beach, Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, Tijuana, Mexico and the Del Mar Race Track.

This is one of those marvelous Marriott hotels where you have the best of everything – spacious rooms, super service, great views, fine dining and modern facilities. Those who have stayed here said the rates were reasonable considering the high quality. Many wished they could stay longer and plan to return as soon as they can. All the guestrooms, and 27 suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, in-room safe, coffee and tea making facilities, Internet browser television with cable news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, iron and ironing board, alarm clock, bathrobes and a hairdryer. The bathtubs have spray jets and there is a separate shower and tub.

The hotel’s Current restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Tides Day and Night Bar is a Starbucks Coffee during the day and serves appetizers and cocktails at night. Room service is available around the clock. Restaurants nearby include Il Fornaio, an Italian restaurant, Peobes, a Seafood restaurant and the Rhinoceros Café. The hotel has three swimming pools, a fitness center, whirlpool and a full service spa. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. From San Diego Airport (SAN) 7 miles: Turn left on Harbor Drive, left on Grape Street to I-5 South. Continue to Coronado Bay Bridge Exit. Go across the bridge to first right, on Glorietta Boulevard. The hotel is located two blocks on the right.
