We love the Marriott's friendly service, spacious rooms and incredibly comfortable beds. It was really quiet with a nice pool. Excellent for traveling families as the sofa beds are made up complimentary and there are guest laundry facilities. This was so close to Lego land.

Carlsbad is a great city to stay in for some peace and quiet when you are going to San Diego. This hotel is a lot cheaper than SD hotels and you can go right down the street and ride the Coaster train into SD faster than it would take to drive. The hot breakfast was expensive ($11) but really good waffles, taters, biscuits, orange juice, eggs and meat for you carnivores. The room was clean and the AC worked great. My husband couldn't work the phone and they sent a guy up speedy quick to show fix the problem (turns out you have to press line 1 first--duh!). Basic cable channels, free wired internet in rooms and a computer with internet workstation free downstairs that you can even print from for free. The pool looked great, but I didn't get a chance to try it out. Highly recommend for a family on vacation, it's just blocks from Lego land!

Carlsbad is the perfect beachside town with plenty of fun. For those that love to soak up the rays of the sun, there are miles of beach where you can surf, splash about in the waves or relax in the sun. The hotel is two miles from the beach. Outlet shopping is a five minute drive, with stores such as The Gap, Crate and Barrel and Bananna Republic. There is plenty of quaint beachside shops both in Carlsbad and the surrounding towns. The town has plenty of dining options ranging from casual to fine dining. Downtown San Diego is only twenty minutes away. No trip is complete without a visit to the world famous San Diego Zoo and Sea World. Legoland offers lots of fun for smaller children. Old World San Diego is the perfect place to visit a mission and enjoy a margarita. The Del Mar Track offers guests the chance to try their luck on the horses.

This recently renovated hotel is completely smoke free. Guests are treated to a cookie on arrival and complimentary tea and coffee is always available in the lobby. The rooms are spacious with plenty of work space should the need arise. On site parking is complimentary. The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast.

The hotel rooms offers guests a choice between king and queen sized beds. All rooms have premium bedding with pillowtop mattresses and down pillows. This is a good clean hotel for its money. The hotel is not close to anything within its immediate proximity so a car is necessary, however that said it has great freeway access and is centrally located to all of San Diego's attractions.
