Located just 30 minutes north of San Diego, Carlsbad has lots to offer. Outlet shopping is just 10 minutes away from the resort with stores such as Bananna Republic and Crate and Barrell. Children will enjoy visiting Legoland, where tiny blocks are transformed into giant structures. The San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Wild Animal Park are a great way to spend the day. There are many fine restaurants offering casual and fine dining in the area. For those that want to watch the ponies, The Del Mar Racetrack offers lots of excitement and entertainment. In the summertime the Del Mar Fair is a chance to ride the big wheel and enjoy some cotton candy. The coast line is about 20 minutes from the resort. What makes the coastline unique here are all the little seaside towns each with their own personality.

It depends why you are coming to the hotel. If you are hoping for a resort where you can lay by the pool-think again-the pools are overrun by children-the resort does not have an adult pool. The resort has a lot of great options to it but many of the rooms overlook the parking lot. Read our customer reviews?

La Costa Resort & Spa Accommodations

The spacious hotel rooms are luxuriously decorated. Guests will enjoy the flat screen televisions in the oversized rooms. With over 400 acres of gardens many rooms overlook the golf course, gardens or swimming pools. Guests will enjoy the upgraded bathrooms wit signature spa toiletries and plush bathrobes. There are coffee and tea making facilites in the room. The newspaper is delivered daily to the room.

Amenities offered

There is plenty of activity for everyone no matter what your pleasure is. For those that enjoy enjoy lounging by the pool, there are four pools to choose from. The waterslides makes this resort a definate playground for children. Poolside service and cabanas are available. If you fancy yourself the next Sampras, there are numerous tennis courts with day and nightime availability. Golf fanatics will enjoy the fairway. The spa is always the perfect place to spend an afternoon. For those that love to shop, there are many shops at the resort. The resort BlueSide Grill serves a tasty meal.

From Los Angeles: I-405 South to I-5. Continue south to La Costa Avenue exit. Turn left (east) onto La Costa Avenue. Drive approximately 1.5 miles to El Camino Real, and turn left (north). The entrance to La Costa is approximately a quarter-mile on the right-hand side. From San Diego: I-5 North to La Costa Avenue exit. Turn right (East) onto La Costa Avenue. Drive approximately 1.5 miles to El Camino Real, and turn left (north). The entrance to La Costa is approximately a quarter-mile on the right-hand side. From Palm Springs: I-10 West to I-15 South to Highway 78 West (Oceanside) to I-5 South to La Costa Avenue exit. Drive approximately 1.5 miles to El Camino Real, and turn left (north). The entrance to La Costa is approximately a quarter-mile on the right-hand side From Arizona: I-8 West to I-805 North (will merge with I-5 approximately 10 miles). Continue to La Costa Avenue exit. Turn right (east) onto La Costa Avenue. Drive approximately 1.5 miles to El Camino Real, and turn left (north). The entrance to La Costa is approximately a quarter-mile on the right-hand side.
