TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Jose Campbell provides inexpensive extended-stay accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The four-story, pet friendly property has studios and one and two-bedroom suites. The non-smoking hotel is in the heart of Silicon Valley minutes from downtown San Jose. Items included in the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Area attractions include Happy Hollow Park and Zoo, Raging Waters, NASA Ames Research Center and Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad. There are a total of 95 suites and studios and the property adjoins Campbell Park, which is home to the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Across the street from the hotel is the Pruneyard Shopping and Dining Center.

This is a little gem, with plenty of space, wooden floors and marble countertops. Families said this was an ideal base for touring the area. Most visitors to this all-suites property considered the rates reasonable because of the well-equipped facilities. Executives, in the area for an extended stay, said the location was good, close to many corporate offices, and the spacious suites really did make it feel like a home away from home. Towneplace Suites San Jose Campbell Accommodations

All the suites have a kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, conventional and microwave oven, coffeemaker, toaster and cutlery and crockery. Other amenities include a work desk with high-speed Internet access, cable television with movie channels, pay-per-view movies, CD player, pullout sofa bed, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board.

The hotel has a whirlpool and exercise room. There are no restaurants on-site but the 24-hour front desk has a list of area eateries that will deliver to the hotel. Restaurants nearby include El Burro, the Elephant Bar and Restaurant, Starbucks Coffee, and the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. The front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a full service business center, coin-operated laundry, valet dry-cleaning, airline reservation desk, vending machines and a picnic area with barbecue grill.

From San Jose Airport (SJC) 6 miles: Take I-880 South (Turns into Hwy 17 South). Exit Hamilton Avenue, stay in left turn lane and follow to left back over freeway. Turn right on Bascom Avenue, then turn right again on Campbell Avenue. Go past hotel (on left) and do u-turn at second intersection at Dillon. The hotel is the on right just after Campbell Park.
