The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott San Jose comprises 150 suites designed for the extended stay business traveler or families on vacation. Each of the suites at this three-story, non-smoking hotel has fully equipped kitchens and separate sleeping and living areas. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception on midweek evenings with a light meal and cocktails, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one 695 square-foot meeting room available for business or social functions. Area landmarks and attractions include five golf courses, the San Jose Center for Performing Arts, the Great America Theme Park, San Jose Convention Center, San Jose Museum of Art, Winchester Mystery House, the San Jose Arena and shopping at Santana Row, Westfield Oakridge, The Prune Yard and Gilroy Outlet Mall.

Several former visitors to this hotel said it was not one of the best Residence Inns but the prices were attractive, the accommodation was clean and spacious and there were plenty of items to choose from at the breakfast buffet. Many clients said the property is more like garden apartments with each suite having its entrance from the parking lot. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a conventional and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a fireplace and a work desk with high-speed Internet access, telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, television with cable movie and news channels and pay-per-view movies, hairdryer, and iron and ironing board.
