our SFO favorite - posted on 11/28/2006

We stay at this hotel every time we fly into SFO. The front desk people are great- we arrive from the east coast bleary -eyed- they treat us like we are the most important guests they have met that day! We can rent our car in the lobby , so no need to go back to SFO. The rooms are regular sized- except for those on the Regency Floor which are wonderful! This hotel is much better than the others in its class!

It is a SOFA!! - posted on 07/03/2006

When we got to this hotel, we were shocked to discover that not only did we have to park almost 3 blocks away, they charged $17 a day. When we got to the desk, we were told if we'd accept a certain room they wanted to give us, they'd comp the parking. This was immediately suspicious. We got to the room to find that it had a dining table, plasma t.v. and no bed at all! It was a fold out couch! The woman at the front desk was very nasty when we demanded another room. Excuse me, but I refuse to spend $* a night to sleep on a fold out couch!

Stayed here overnight between flights. Room was large, the bed was very comfy. Beautiful hotel. Highly recommend.

Satisfied overall - posted on 09/14/2005

Room was very ordinary but good views from the upper floors. Staff was nice, helpful and assisted with restaurant recommendations and directions. $15 parking fee per day. Nice walking trail along the bay just across the street. The AC unit did not seem to keep the room very cool at night. Moderate noise level but nothing that was too disruptive during my stay.

Business trip - posted on 05/20/2005

I had a rough time at this hotel. I had booked my room six months prior to my planned business conference and when I arrived I didn't check in until late. Once I did check in they sent me to the wrong room. It took quite a while to clear everything up. I ended up not getting to sleep until very late. The room was noisy due to the atrium's environment although the view was gorgeous. The balcony was tiny. I would have liked a place to sit on the balcony. If given the choice, I would not stay here again.

The best stay - posted on 05/04/2005

The staff was very kind and attentive. Our room was clean, the bed so comfortable. The Atrium is gorgeous with bamboo trees and live plants. Just magnificent. What a beautiful hotel!

worst experience ever - posted on 01/24/2005

I did not receive morning call that I asked for, alarm clock in the room was not working, they gave me a wrong key to the room, they put me on hold for more than 10 minutes and was doing something else, room was very noisy (party on the second floor until midnight with very loud music -- they did not care to tell the group to stop). They are really unwilling to take any complaints.
