The big 4-oh at Disneyland - posted on 05/18/2007

As a 40th bday gift to my husband we stayed at the Paradise Peir. The staff was nice but the property is due for an update and they need more help at the registration desk at peak hours. The room was confy but the AC rattled all night. Would also have liked the King bed room we reserved but were told was "not guarenteed," therefore got the two queen beds. The fireworks from the pool deck was fun.

This is a great hotel to stay at when you visit the Disneyland Resort. It is affordable and within walking distance to the parks. The staff is always accomodating and nice.

Great Disney Experience - posted on 04/22/2007

Our stay at Paradise Pier was very enjoyable. We loved being able to take a break during the "Disney" day to rest. Rooms extremely clean and well kept. Decor adorable. Beds very comfortable.

Had a great Disney experience! - posted on 04/08/2007

We loved the feel of saftey, comfort, and fun of this hotel. Being pregnant, it was great to walk across the street through the Grand Californian hotel to get right into the California Adventure Park. I came back to the hotel mid day, put my feet up for a while and went back to the parks. Our room was overlooked the pool and waterslide. We had a king size bed and a pull out queen size couch that had a very comfortable mattress, no springs or bars! My daughter especially loved the glass elevator overlooking the park. Great character restraunts and yummy room service. We loved it all!

Great Hotel - posted on 03/26/2007

I thought this was a great hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful, my son loved it and the character breakfast was awesome. The room was very clean (the cleaning staff even folded some clothes my son left on the bed) and even the pull out bed was comfortable. They also upgraded our room for free when we got there, we had a great view of CA adventure. A nice walk through downtown disney to the parks. Great hotel I will be going back on my next Disneyland trip.

Ideal Location! - posted on 12/07/2006

The location is wonderful & the room is VERY clean. I have 3 kids ages 5,4, & 1. They love this hotel as much as my husband & I do. The conveniance of walking & not having to load & unload our children & all of their stuff makes Paradise Pier an ideal location. We live in San Diego & visit Disney often. This was are second visit to Paradise Pier & we have had a pleasant stay both times. We stayed at the Disney Hotel last year & we enjoy this hotel much better.

Awesome stay - posted on 11/21/2006

This was our first stay at a Disney Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. Two adults were in our party. The hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed. I think the qualities that most impressed me were the staff, room amenities, and professionalism of the running of the hotel. It was wonderful. We will stay in this hotel again on our next trip.

Great choice! - posted on 11/01/2006

The Paradise Pier is a great place to stay with easy and quick access to the Disney theme parks. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfotable, and have lots of amenities (hair dryers, refrigerators, and portable cribs for babies). The rooms are a bit pricey, but worth it for the convenience. There is also a really nice pool for kids and adults. I have stayed here many times and will continue to return.

Great Experience! - posted on 10/29/2006

Such a great place to stay!!! The location is perfect! It was a clean, very comfortable hotel with a friendly staff. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was soooo worth paying just a little bit more for!

Next best thing - posted on 10/14/2006

If you can't stay at the Disneyland Hotel itself, this hotel is the next best thing!! It is still very Disney and it's still within a short walk to the Disney parks. The staff are very friendly and bell services are more than accommodating! It even has character dining on site. Plus a new water slide they have recently added to the pool area. Worth the money.

Great Staff - posted on 09/11/2006

My first trip to disney with my 3 yr ols and it was awesome, the short walk to the parks from the hotel is a graet benefit, the pool was nice, the staff was super friendly, fridges in the rooms is nice just need to get a microwave. self parking is really close to the rear entrance of the hotel, was left rice crispy treats by the staff in our room and disney character candy on the beds, my son loved them, really felt like part of the disney magic at this hotel

Great Place To Stay - posted on 09/10/2006

For the money this hotel was excellent, closeness to the disney parks was what we were looking for, the resteraunts had a great staff, very friendly especially with children, at night they would put candies on the beds and put some soft music on the radio in the room so when you came back from a long day of park hopping it was a relaxing atmosphere, the walk to the park is only 5-10 min tops, easy access thru Disneys California Grand Hotel. We are already planning our trip next to stay at the paradise Pier

Hooray for Disneyland! - posted on 08/30/2006

The hotel stay was wonderful. I was skeptic regarding the elevator situation - however, we had NO problems what so ever. The wait was little to none. I just loved the fireworks by the pool and the view was spectacular (upgrade to view room if possible). Also, room service is great and early entry is a must. The staff on the whole was friendly and helpful. My family will always stay at Paradise when visiting Disneyland!

Disney Superior Service - posted on 08/17/2006

My fiance proposed to me in Disneyland. When we checked in, we explained that we had just gotten engaged! The clerk said he would do something special for us. The next day we went to the park and came back to find that the staff had put rose petals on our bed that spelled out love, left us a balloon, and made a heart out of the towels. They even left us Mickey Mouse rice krispy treats. We plan on going every year for our anniversary. They made a memorable trip even more memorable and I can't say enough about our Disney experience. We will be back!

Loved the hotel. The waterslide was great for toddlers. My 4-yr old loved it. The rooms were super clean and the Disney theme was adorable throughout. Warning - You need to bring a stroller for toddlers or even 5/6-yr olds to walk to the theme parks. You can't take the rentals to the hotel. I would stay here again if I caught the rate on sale again.

Great Hotel - posted on 07/17/2006

This was our first time staying at one of the Disney Hotels. Loved the pool and slide. Really liked the many security guards riding around walkways to Downtown Disney. Only drawback is distance between Downtown Disney. Private entrance to California Adventure Park wonderful! Would be nice if there were trams between all three hotels Bonus was fireworks at night, along with PA system patched into Disneyland. Awesome hotel.

Great Price - posted on 06/27/2006

You can't beat the price if you want to stay at the resort cheaply. I was there 4 nights--room wasn't right at first, but the change was made at my convenience, and new room was upgraded. Beautiful. Short walk to Grand Californian, where you can enter the Park easily. Will be back in December.

Great for anyone with Special Diets - posted on 06/01/2006

Everything was great. My 6 year old daughter has PKU and has very special diet restrictions. We sent her food and cooking instructions prior to arriving at the hotel and the Chefs prepared it for her at each meal and at no charge. We are already are planinng a return trip. The location was great close enough to return for lunch and a swim to cool off and then return back to either park.

stay elsewhere - posted on 04/21/2006

we have been to disney world 50 + times staying on site and off. We NEVER had this many problems there...this hotel lacks the disney magic in a big way, we got a dumster view, yuck, and they messed up my credit card bill so watch very carefully as we did not charge to our room but they said it was a computer glitch...they maxed out my card. go to disney world and stay there if you truely want the MAGIC

Paradise Pier Disneyland - posted on 04/13/2006

Had a great time. The room was nice, with plenty of room. My only complaint is that our room was not ready on time and it took a long time to get our luggage brought to our room. Other than that everything was great!

Great Family Trip - posted on 02/11/2006

If you need to save a little money, but want to stay at a Disney Hotel, this is the one. The pool is nice, the staff is incredible, and you definitely feel "Disney-ish" all of the time. The walk to the park was a little bit far for us with one toddler and one infant who were over-tired, but it's still easier than taking the tram to an off-area hotel. All in all, it was a great experience.

Ho Ho HO Awesome - posted on 12/19/2005

I reserved four rooms for 8 of my family members and our 2 year son. The rooms all had excellent views of the park. The service was excellent but room service is not 24 hours and very few places to eat in hotel.

Not worth the money - posted on 10/15/2005

I expected more on the concierge level, I found them useless for reservations & tour tickets. Bathroom had a bad leak in the ceiling, rather disgusting. Not much Disney ambiance. It could have been any hotel, except for the Mickey face on the toiletries. Long walk to the parks and monorail. View was good of the California Adventure. No laundry facilities in this building, not good for a family with children. They are just charging for the DISNEY name...not the service. I was looking for something "special" and this wasn't it.

Disappointed - posted on 09/28/2005

Planned a vacation way in advance, arrived with grandchildren, their first visit, stayed because of the pool looked so inviting and the kids love swimming, pool closed for maintenance. Should have been informed at booking date. Maintenance is planned not spontaneous. Very disappointing 4 day stay.

we had two connected rooms, other room ok. Ours, had no security lock on door, faulty plug on coffee maker, bulb out in bathroom, a/c 69 cold, 70 hot. For a $x a night hotel, should have been bettermaintained.

Wonderful Hotel! - posted on 08/09/2005

We really enjoyed our stay here. We paid extra money to have a park view. It was very worth the extra! The room was very large and clean. It overlooked California Adventures. I would definitely stay here again!

My family has stayed at this property at least ten times and always loved the special entrance to the park...that's gone and now you walk forever to get to the parks. Room wasn't ready after 3:00pm, food was poor quality, room service forgot half our order and the price for the room has gone up by at least a third...not a good deal for what you get...think twice before you book this place!

Paradise Pier - posted on 07/22/2005

Paradise Pier is the cheapest and has the best service of the three Disney hotels. It's great to be able to walk a short distance to the theme parks and not have to worry about parking the car. Our kids loved the pool slide; it's the only one of the three hotels where you don't need to be able to swim in order to ride it.

Disneys Paradise Pier Hotel - posted on 07/20/2005

We found this hotel to be an excellent choice for our visit to DisneyLand. It is less expensive than other Disney hotels but a little further from downtown Disney and DisneyLand. We found the hotel to be very comfortable and a good value: service was excellent, rooms were clean and roomy.

It would be great if you could rent strollers at the hotel to go around Disneyland and Disney district! My back nearly broke carrying our kids from stroller drop offs to the hotel! :)
