Customer Reviews for Disneyland Hotel Anaheim

Elevator was out - posted on 09/29/2005

There was only one elevator servicing the Sierra tower's 11 stories. Room's walls were very thin, but the room was gorgeous. Location was wonderful.

wonderful stay - posted on 05/02/2007

We visited Disneyland for the first time and staying at the Disneyland Hotel is the only way to go. The room was clean and the beds so comfy. We are planning on visiting again this summer and plan on staying again!!

Return visitors - posted on 02/15/2007

We have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel at Easter for the past 3 years. We enjoy the location and the services the hotel has to offer. The rooms are satisfactory. The children enjoy the area. I have always found the staff to be helpful and customer oriented. The hotel is not the greatest value for your money. You are paying for the Disney name and experience.

This is Handicapped? - posted on 01/09/2007

Our handicapped bed was so high off the ground that I couldn't even sit on the side of the bed! And the bathroom sink was so high and had such a wide rim around it that if I had been in a wheelchair, I would have been unable to brush my teeth etc.

Not Satisfied - posted on 12/28/2006

We stayed there from 12/23/06 to 12/26/06. When we checked in on the 23rd, the front desk purposely put us in a room next to elevator and we could hear the roaring noise all night. At first we thought it was the monorail, but when the park closed at 12am the noise is still there. We call the next morning and the front desk responded by"why did you not complaining last night?" Very bad experience for $* a night

shabby and expensive - posted on 12/20/2006

The DLH marina tower or any tower for that matter is in desperate need of refurbishing. To start, a run-down, slow elevator. Shabby carpet everywhere. Dirty bathrooms, mold in the grout, old used soap stuck to shower floor, dinged, chipped dated furniture in the rooms. They could at least have decent toilet paper. It may as well have been newspaper. No special ammentities, only convenience to the park. Stayed twice this year at two different towers. The Bonita Tower in the back was even worse. Won't ever stay again.

What a disappointment - posted on 11/01/2006

I took my kids for a week and spent a lot of cash for not a lot of service. View rooms of the pool are way to noisy at all hours. Problems calling home long distance from my room and given the run around from the desk staff and hotel operator. The i minute cist 11.74 Maid service was late and always came when we were back napping in the afternoon. Package delivery to our rooms was unreliable. Two days the parcels arrived way to late to use the items ( autograph books) at breakfast. Monorail is down and the walk is long no matter what any one says.

Fun, Fun, Fun - posted on 10/29/2006

The room was great, plenty of room. The check in was the worst part of the visit, about 20 people in line and 2 people behind the desk doing check in. The staff are the friendliest and most hospitable I have ever encountered anywhere. I would absolutely stay there again.

Wonderful trip to Disneyland with the Kids - posted on 10/29/2006

Staying at this hotel was extremely convenient when visiting both Disneyland and California's Great Adventure. The hotel was first class as all Disney Resorts tend to be. The staff was very helpful, although they needed more staff upon check-in. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, the view was incredible and the parks were a blast. Would recommend to others for a true DISNEY experience.

No Guest Service - posted on 09/11/2006

Not being informed of the fact there was no transportation into the park (the monorail) which has been running all of the over 15 times we have been to the park before ;set up a less than magical day..\We asked about alternatives and were told we could walk. We are 60 and 70 years old. The monorail experience into the park is what my husband wanted for his 70th birthday and did not get it.

Great Disney Experience! - posted on 09/11/2006

We had a wonderful time at the resort. The character breakfast was delicious, and it made a great start to a day at the parks. The pool and bar were great! Our room was small, but very clean and totally Disney.

Happy Times - posted on 09/07/2006

Have visited Disneyland many times and stayed at various locations. You can't beat the location of this hotel with the exception of the Calif Hotel which is alot higher priced. We selected this hotel because you can hop on the monorail and get into the park quickly however at check-in we were informed it was closed until December. With a 4 year old with no strolller it was a long walk to the park. This is a classisc Disney hotel which we loved becasue its all about the Disney experiance. The rooms and exterior need updating and feels old. Also, don;t pay for the view upgrade.

What a trip! - posted on 08/12/2006

My nephew and I are Disney fanatics. Celebrating Disneyland's 50th birthday was very important to us and we were not disappointed. Our room in the main tower was small, dated but very clean. The pool is behind a locked gate which wasn't convenient but definately not a deal breaker. Dinner at Capt. Hook's was delicious. Guest services was great. They will print boarding passes. A nice touch on an "orange alert" travel day. Get into the Disney spirit with this almost original hotel. Treat yourself to a wonderful experience.

not worth the money - posted on 06/23/2006

my experience at the Disneyland hotel was not a very good one. First of all the rooms and not that clean, the beds are not queen beds they are doubles even though they say they are queens they are not!!!! next the showers were horrible the water does not mix together like a normal shower should its either hot or cold we even changed rooms because of this and we got the same thing. The convienence is ok you still have to walk a ways to get to the park entrance. Overall I would never stay there again they charge way to much money for something you could get anywhere.

We Plan To Go Back!! - posted on 06/06/2006

We have an autistic 2 year old and this hotel was perfect! We got priority on the Monorail for staying at the Disney Hotel so when our son was getting tired, it was VERY easy to come back to the room. Our daughter loved the pool slide. The staff was awesome! I wish the line for check-in would have gone a bit faster but no other issues. They even held our luggage for us during our last day while we were at the park. WE LOVED THIS HOTEL!!! It is a bit pricey, but for us having a disabled child, the convenience was well worth the price. We plan on returning in the fall!

Great time - posted on 05/18/2006

This was the first time that we've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and we had a great experience. The hotel was beautiful, the service was excellent, everything was extremely clean and the rooms had plenty of extras (ex: pillows, blankets, towels and travel shampoos, etc). We will definately stay there again on our next trip to Disneyland.

Great stay - posted on 05/15/2006

Never having stayed onsite, I wasn't disapointed with the hotel. It was almost everything I had hoped for... but the "view" room wouldn't have been worth the extra $$ if we hadn't gotten such a great deal! Food is hard to get after the place closed up, about 9pm, on site. The hotel was extra quiet, and beds very nice. Left our digital camera there, and they never found it... but other then that it was almost perfect!

Meals - posted on 02/20/2006

Excellent location. However, all food locations seem to have the same menu, there is not enough diversity in food offerings. They could use a 24 hour coffee shop/eatery that will provide full service and a varied menu similar to Denny's, IHOP etc. for those of us who travel a lot but don't want a high-end meal every time.

Is this really a Disney Hotel? - posted on 01/19/2006

I stayed at the DLH during the MLK hoilday weeknd. I had a regular room with a Downtown Disney View. When I tried to call the front desk or operator for any questions I was on hold at min 15 mins. My room was not cleaned until 6pm at night. Room service food took a long time, and was cold, and tasteless. Cast members were not helpful. The only positive thing about this hotel is its close walk to the monorail station, and DTD. I was refunded one nights stay do to the horrible service. It is not worth the money!!

AWESOME EXPERIENCE - posted on 01/19/2006

This place is close to everything! It is easy walking distance to Downtown DISNEY. The best way to DISNEYLAND is the Monorail. It's access is just a few hundred feet from the hotel. My kids ages 15,12 and 8 thoroughly enjoyed it and the the monorail and train saved our legs for the long days in the park.

Disney Details - posted on 09/05/2005

From the Tinker Bell Fairydust Wallpaper that glows in the dark to the Mickey Mouse gloved hand Sconces in the bathroom and Snow White themed Mirror in the Dressing Area the details are exactly what you would expect of a Disney Hotel. Don't forget to take the kids to the Character breakfast and make reservations as soon as you arrive. This is the oldest hotel in the Disney Resort but the last renovation has spruced the place up quite a bit and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Walk to Disneyland! - posted on 07/17/2005

Had dreamed of staying here since I was a child. Stayed one night (w/toddler) in a room overlooking Peter Pan's pool. Loud music from the pool speakers played until 11PM (hard for my child to sleep). The "room magic" was scarce. The bath amentiies and armoire mural were the only Disney touches to the room. I expected more Disney ambiance. Would I stay here again? YES! Of all of the Disney hotels, this is the closest to the park. It's proximity warrents the cost.

Traditional Disney - posted on 07/13/2005

This hotel, though old, does a wonderful job of keeping the disney tradition alive. The staff is friendly, it's clean and the nurses station went above and beyond their duties when I was sick. I will continue to come back and encourage others to do so as well. It's worth every penny.

Disney Magic Throughout! - posted on 06/08/2005

I splurged for my children and I to stay at this hotel, and never regretted it! The concierge level, with the well-stocked lounge, is a bit pricey but worth every penny. If you're looking for the true Disney experience, this is the place! Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, very clean hotel, very convenient to the park, and on the concierge level (theme park view) you can see the fireworks! We will definitely be back!
