The 575-room JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa in the Tucson Mountains provides luxury accommodation and facilities designed for the discerning leisure and business traveler. The six-story, non-smoking resort has 27 holes of golf and 30 meeting rooms available for social or business functions. The largest, the Arizona ballroom, can accommodate 2,000 guests. Nearby landmarks and attractions include the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, the University of Arizona, Red Park Zoo, Old Tucson Studios, the Titan Missile Museum, Pima Air and Space Museum and the Tuscan Children’s Museum. The property is close to horse riding stables, hiking and cycling trails and rock climbing.

This is a fine, fabulous favorite resort for many visitors to Tucson. Guests are impressed with the lobby, accommodation and the superb service and facilities. It is expensive especially when you add $13 a day for Internet access and $20 a day for parking. Those who saved money by self-parking said it was a long walk from the parking garage and on future visits they’ll pay the valet costs. Most clients say they will return to this property on their next Tucson trip. Many said they would be looking out for special deals to try to trim down the bill. Read our customer reviews?

JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa Accommodations

All the guestrooms, and 35 suites, have a private patio or balcony. The facilities include a work desk with high-speed Internet access, Internet browser television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, hairdryer and two-line cordless telephone with voicemail and speakerphone. The bathrooms have a separate tub and shower.

Dining options include the resort’s Signature Grille, for all day dining, the Plunge poolside restaurant, open for lunch and the Primo Mediterranean restaurant open for dinner. There is a Starbucks Coffee on-site and room service is available around the clock. The resort has three outdoor heated swimming pools, a full service spa and a fitness center. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and can handle currency exchange. Other amenities include a concierge desk, full service business center, on-site laundry, valet dry cleaning, a games room, car rental desk, barber and beauty salon and a gift shop and newsstand.
