Overall, this hotel outperformed my expectations. Apparently, according to some customers there had been some problems with the hotel (cleanliness, room quality, etc.) in the past. However, with the new renovations, those problems have been resolved.

When I checked in, the front desk person was very helpful in providing me with directions to several places around time that I needed to go.

However, earlier in the day, I called the hotel for directions, and the person who answered the phone in Reservations could not tell me the exact exit I needed to take to reach the hotel! Also, the staff took too long to answer the phone. (I was beginning to think the hotel was CLOSED because the phone rang and rang. I finally hung up and called back about an hour later to get someone!) Unacceptable.

It is newly renovated, so that was a pleasant surprise.

The location is very convenient to the highway and airport, though I did get on the highway going in the wrong direction the next morning - no signs for the airport. The housekeeping staff did NOT bring extra pillows as I had requested. Front desk staff apologetic and wanted to know why I didn't call back. I said I shouldn't have had to and besides, I was exhausted and fell asleep. The pillows on the bed were wafer thin. The renovations, though obviously still ongoing, were a slight distraction but the room itself was fine and despite it being a smoking room, no tell-tale odors.

Very easy freeway access.

The staff was great, the room was small but nice. The club sandwich was the best I ever had.

Nice room, great price.

Located just miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and a few minutes from downtown Phoenix, the Radisson is a a much better-than-average "airport" hotle, whether for business travel or a family vacation. Georgeous front desk and lobby area, relaxing central atrium and award-winning restaurant make the Radisson Phoenix Airport Hotel a highly-recommended hotel option while in Phoenix. Parking is plentiful, service is freindly, and check in very efficient. Reasonable rates are another big draw for this upgraded hotel.
