Wonderful Experience - posted on 01/11/2006
My husband took me to Phoenix for my b-day and we stayed here. We absolutely loved the suite, many pools, swim-up bars, food, views, hiking etc. We had such a wonderful time, we will definitely return next summer. The beds were heaven! Would highly recommend this hotel to ANYONE. Our room faced one of the family pools, it was SO nice. We got an awesome rate due to off-peak season (mid-July).

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a little disappointed with one particular meal in the restaurant and when it was brought to the staff's attention we were pleased and surprised to find a handwritten note and a bowl of chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us. We loved Phoenix and wish it was not so far away.

I loved this hotel! The bedding was all top of the line. I could stay in bed all day with the fluffy pillows and comforters--but we were off to the water park. Grandma and the kids had a great time on the enclosed slide and we loved the poolside BBQ on Friday!

What a pleasant surprise! While working in the Pheonix area, I stumbled across this gem. First off its less expensive than a normal business class hotel. Then they wow you with service and atmosphere. I will be bringing the kids with me next time. They will just love it!

The Ponte Hilton Mountain hotel and pool setting was beautiful. My wife, daughter and I had a very enjoyable short visit to Arizona and hope to return soon.
Best Hotel in Phoenix - posted on 07/07/2006
Ask for a room with a view to the west. Tapatio has the best sunsets in Phoenix. There are several restaurants on site. The top of the line restaurant, a Different Point of View, as the name implies has fabulous views. Be aware, though, it comes with a fabulous price tag. My main entree, seared salmon, and a glass of wine (no salad or dessert) cost $55.00! The presentation was nice, but, I have had better salmon.

My wife and I spent 2 days at this hotel at the end of our tour around Arizona. It was a first class place to unwind after the over 2000 mile round trip. Facilities, food etc., were excellent and the golf course was superb. Would go back anytime. Great place.

Beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Loved the scenic views and relaxing atmosphere..

What a fantastic place! We just returned from a weekend and I felt like I was at a tropical resort. The rooms, service, pools and food were top notch. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we did.

This hotel was so much nicer than I expected. It was a great deal. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Hilton staff (valet, concierge, bell men, front desk, room service, spa, pool people) all polite and couldn't do enough. Room was not at quality I thought would be for suite- Sofa uncomfortable, air-conditioner by one bed blew down onto it, and ceiling cracked over bathtub. Housekeeping could not seem to clean mirror in bedroom or vacuum well. Food at Pointe in Thyme excellent along with waitresses. Spa wonderful! Surroundings beautiful.

Have stayed here 5 times now. Would not have return ed if unimpressed. Some rooms are looking a wee bit tired. Makeover required.

Tapatio Cliffs is a great hotel. We had great dinners, great service and a wonderful time overall. It is very relaxing.
Dissapointment - posted on 04/13/2007
This hotel has grown too big to service the needs of it's customers. Every process involved an extensive wait (check in, eating any meal, checking out) the staff was constantly overwhelmed... After waiting 30 mins for dinner we were told the staff "couldn't get things under control" so we left. We had to call maintenance twice because the air conditioner didn't work. And parking was ridiculous-- parallel parking on a hill in a tight corridor, no thank you

Enjoyed the resort very much; would like to return with family. Everything was convenient on sight with plenty of activities to meet our needs.

We stayed for three days. The hotel was great. It must have been a down time because crowds were minimal. Rooms were awesome-loved the separate TV/sitting area from the bedroom. Kids loved the different pools. Staff was very nice, and, as a matter of fact, most of the people/residents of Phoenix were wonderful. We look forward to our next visit.

This was a lovely setting. The facility was set in the mountains. We had a 2 room suite and it was okay. The rooms were a little small, but still nice. Nice features. Separate bath and sink areas make it easy for more than one person to get ready at a time. 2 televisions. Nice bath products. Lobby was nice and gift shop was good - it even had a small concession area. The rooms are set in a mountain and the staff will come and get you or take you to your room so you don't have to climb up. Very nice area. Phoenix is a great place to visit, lots to see and do and the weather is GREAT.

Overall it was a great place to stay. The parking situation was the worst part of the experience. It was quite a walking distance from the parking lot to our suite if you went out at night, when you arrived back at the hotel there wasn't any parking near the room.

This hotel was great. I went with my wife and the room and facilities were very accomodating. Would stay here again without a doubt. The only bad thing is they don't have a free shuttle for the airport. Otherwise I have no complaints.
Noisey Nights - posted on 08/06/2006
The suites are large. It seems these large suites and great pool areas attract the party crowd. Not much sleep here.

Great service at a nice resort hotel. The water park was smaller than at the other Pointe Hiltons but served our family well. There was plenty of lounge chairs and space despite the high temp and sold out hotel. There was quite a bit of noise at night with many younger teens and kids running around. I would recommend more security to try and keep them in the pool areas on in their rooms. Other than that, it was a wonderful hotel.

Last time I stayed here was 20 years ago when the Pointe was new. .That was a romantic weekend and this was a romantic night to celebrate Valentines. The hotel has just as much style and class as it always had. A wonderful place and experience for a "get-a-away". Wonderful rooms and grounds. Clean and spotless.

Pleasant rooms and good location in Phoenix. Beautiful pools and activites. I was disappointed in the workout center which needs some TLC, and the food costs which seemed high.
Nice Hotel - posted on 09/19/2005
This was a very nice hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The only real problem was the parking. There really isn't any unless you get back to your hotel early in the evening to snag the few parking spaces there are. The alternative is the free Valet parking and shuttle service, of which the people were very nice and accomodating. Though the

This is a nice property, though it's not especially close to anything else. The swimming pools are great. The rooms are nice, though parking can be a challenge. The real down side is the way they tack on the extras: 9.95 per day for high speed internet, 9.95 per day to use the fitness room. That's very tacky. I'll stay somewhere else next time.

Probably the best value I've ever experienced. Suite was beautiful, with an amazing view. Hotel grounds are stunning. Nice pools, and the food was good too.
