The 347-room Marriott Phoenix Airport provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The 12-story, non-smoking hotel operates a complimentary shuttle to the nearby airport. Other items included with the room rate are local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee, a morning newspaper and parking. There are 10 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest, the Grand Ballroom, can accommodate 750 guests. The hotel has three concierge levels. The property is eight miles from downtown Phoenix and close to Scottsdale, Arizona State University and downtown Tempe. Other area landmarks and attractions include three golf courses, Arizona Mills Mall, the Phoenix Museum of History, South Mountain Park, the Bank One Ballpark, Phoenix Zoo, the Desert Botanic Gardens and the Firebird Raceway.

There are less expensive properties nearby but several travelers say it is worth spending the extra dollars for super service and very comfortable beds. All the guestrooms have a well-lit work desk with high-speed Internet access, Internet browser television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, pullout-sofa bed, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, hairdryer and two-line cordless telephone with voicemail and speakerphone.
