Overpriced? - posted on 04/12/2005
If you stay here, request a room away from Camelback Road; was really noisy at night. I must say though, the staff is outstanding. Extremely helpful and friendly.

I have never stayed at a more memorable place. Everything from the decor to the food to the aroma of the flowers will always stay in my mind. I will definitely return next year.

My husband & I had a lovely visit at Royal Palms. We had a delicious brunch at T. Cooks. Found room service to be prompt and very tasty. We had a suite the 1st night & were then upgraded to a casita. While the suite was very nice, we loved the casita and found it worth the extra $$. We had several treatments at the spa & were very pleased. They were very courteous & helpful. The resort staff overall was helpful. They got us directions to local sights, etc.

My husband & I celebrated our anniversary there. We loved it. The grounds are beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a more romantic setting. The service was exceptional. If you are looking for a low key romantic weekend, Royal Palms is the place to be.

Hotel staff made several errors and did not attempt to resolve them. We upgraded rooms and were disappointed.

We stayed 2 nights and were upgraded to a casita room. The service, grounds, spa, and pool were fantastic. The workout room was well equiped. The room was romantic and very quiet. We enjoyed every minute and didn't want to leave! It is well worth the $$.
Romance and Intimacy - posted on 02/20/2005
I surprised my wife with a trip to stay at the Royal Palms. I had not stayed there before and it came highly recommended to me by some contacts in the hospitality industry. The service, food, rooms and environment were above my expectations. We stayed in a deluxe casita (fireplace and private patio) it was well worth the extra $$. The spa is excellent, however the resorts actitivites are weak at best. This is a place for romance, relaxation and pampering.
