Great Family Fun - posted on 05/21/2007

If you are looking for a family destination that is great for kids and adults this is it. The private water park at the resort is perfect for all kinds of activities, esp. for little kids. The snack food (hot dogs , nachos, burgers) was a little pricey but the other restaurant(s) was excellent with good food and great service.

Springbreak 07 - posted on 04/26/2007

The resort offered many activities for families. There are many things to do in the area also. The pool area at River Ranch could have been cleaner and the service much better! We waited for an hour to get lunch served by the pool. The food was also very pricey. You can't beat the weather though!!

Spring Break Trip - posted on 03/21/2007

We stayed at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak for Spring Break 2007. We have a 2 yr old and a 7 yr old and there was plenty for both of them to do. The River Ranch is awesome. Our oldest loved the water slide and our youngest loved the kiddie pool. The lazy river was a little too lazy (i.e. slow). The resort was super clean and the staff so helpful. The conceierge was always available to help us plan activities. They would also arrange a car to take us any place we wanted to go. We will definitely return for Spring Break 2008.

Be sure to bring cash... - posted on 02/15/2007

With a name like Hilton, you expect a certain level of service and amenities. This is the second time I've stayed at this particular Hilton property and the second time my expectations were not met. Paying $*/night and still having to pay $15/day for internet in the room (and no wireless available at all), expensive telephone charges (since no cell phone service was available) I feel I was nickle & dimed to death - not a good value for the money.

Bad Luck on Christmas? - posted on 12/29/2006

We were locked out of our room the FIRST night(hotel thought we were checking out?) of our stay. The one outlet in the bathroom did not work and it took 2 days to get someone from maintenance to come take a look. We had enough hot water for ONE person to take a shower for 3 days and again no one came to check out the hot water heater until 8:00am the LAST day of our 5 day stay.

Magnificent Resort - posted on 08/01/2006

This resort was so nice that our kids were constantly entertained. There is a 4 acre water park, a camp for kids, a kids concierge where they can check out games, toys, and books to bring back to the room, and several shops, restaurants, and bars. It was a wonderful place to stay with clean rooms and very comfortable beds and linens.

When I made the reservation I was told we would have a Wheel Chair Accessable Room with a roll in shower. My husband couldn't get his electric chair over the threshhold. Even with help from security it was dangerous. The bathroom had a tub and he couldn't even get in. At 9 am we were told we could change rooms. At 10:00 am we were told that a room was being cleaned and as soon as it was ready they would let us know. At 3;30 was told the room would be ready by 4:00 because afterall that was check in time. Our check in time was the night before, we checked out.

The management/customer service at this property were horrible. Couldn't get anything right... no apology made. My family will not visit again.

Disappointed - posted on 05/10/2006

The walls are thin. The Hole in the Wall restaurant was marginal on service (2 hrs for lunch one day), but the food was good. If you get Cricket as your waitress, drive to Sedona and order a 5 course meal and it will be quicker!!! The pool and Lazy River were unheated the entire stay of 8 days without repair. Concierge staff was great. Live entertainment in lounge at the Mexican restaurant on Friday night was a 2 out of 10, but the service and food were great. For the price, not the best value. This was my least satisfying 1 week + vacation.

A Great Family Place - posted on 03/10/2006

The Squaw Peak is a terrific resort for families. The resort has great pools, slides and kids activities. The Lantana Grill is a marvelous restaurant.

Comfortable room - posted on 11/01/2005

We enjoyed this hotel very much; it was very comfortable & the employees were very helpful & courteous. We were disappointed to find out Hilton wouldn't give us Hilton honors points because we didn't book through them.

Great Family Hotel - posted on 09/03/2005

This hotel was a great place for our family of 4 to escape to for a week. We spent every day in the pools and lazy river. We had a suite and the staff brought us a microwave and refrigerator at no charge. Dining onsite is typical hotel fare. Drinks at the pool were reasonable. The hotel facilities are showing their age, but the place is clean and there were some renovations underway while we were there. We'd definitely vacation there again.

Wonderful! - posted on 08/01/2005

As soon as we got here, the people at the front desk instantly aknowledged us, and we were off. The room was great, and the staff was more than happy to serve us. The waterpark is great, even for my family, and everything was great. Will go back there again.

Better places to stay in Phoenix - posted on 08/01/2005

This hotel was okay. The best feature is the river ranch. The worst feature the spa. It is overpriced and the massages are terrible! The massage will not relax you, especially after you see the bill! Overall, it's a nice place to stay to get out of the Phoenix heat in the summer, but I think you can do better.

Great stay! - posted on 07/11/2005

My wife and I went on a business trip without our child. Wanted to have a nice quiet few days. We had such a great time, we are going back with the family in August. They have great activities for kids and the main pool area is a wonderland for kids and parents alike. The rooms we're outstanding. We took the hotel's shuttle to the sister property for lunch. They took us over in a Mercedes s500. Close to everthing for the business traveler, but far enough away from the traffic of downtown.

Nice Staff - posted on 06/18/2005

I was impressed by the friendly, helpful staff. The River Ranch was fun. My kids stayed there all day. Although the rooms are a bit worn in spots, the beds were comfortable with high thread-count sheets. We'll definitely go back again.

Great Hotel! - posted on 03/25/2005

I just arrived home from a very relaxing stay at this hotel. I had a King suite with a sofa sleeper and rollaway in the living room. The room and furnishings were perfect for our family of four. My kids, ages 11 & 8, really enjoyed the elaborate pool area. Their favorite was the lazy river....they thought the waterslide was a bit slow though. This hotel was exactly what I wanted. It was a good value

Really Enjoyed This Hotel - posted on 08/12/2004

my family really enjoyed this hotel. It was great for my teenage boy and my 6month old baby. 24 hour pool is a plus in such a warm climate and the staff was very accomodating. I definitely would return!
