Good Choice for Phoenix - posted on 03/25/2007
Very nice hotel, great pool area, clean rooms and grounds. All rooms surround the pool and large grass area. Very accomodating staff. Location is great for airport access as well as access to all major highways and to the downtown area, which can be reached without leaving the street on which the hotel is located.
Disappointed - posted on 03/25/2007
I selected this hotel because of previous reviews. I found the hotel check-in personnel surly. Our room was quite dingy and we weren't positive that the sheets on the beds were clean. One of the beds had the fitted sheet on inside out. The sheets didn't "feel" clean. Will never stay here again.
NOT GOOD - posted on 03/20/2007
customer service extremely poor. very poor attitudes. burned out light bulb, running toilet in room. excersize equipment broken in fitness room. absolutely will never stay again.

This hotel was not in the best location. I was told the area was generally safe during the day, but not to walk around at night.
Not Working - posted on 03/05/2007
The title of my review sums up my experience with this motel: lots of things not working. I picked the motel because it advertised free wi-fi. It didn't work and hadn't been working for a while, according to the clerk. There were computers in the lobby, but they couldn't connect to the printers. A light in my room didn't work. The adjustable massage shower-head didn't adjust. The sink didn't really plug. It was all just a bunch of little things like that. This would be a perfectly acceptable bare-bones business traveler motel if they just went to the trouble of keeping things working.

Cleanliness was acceptable. It could use more outlets by the bed to charge cell phones, etc. Price was good

Service to and from the airport was good. The lobby and pool area were lovely. Unfortunately, the hotel was not in a very nice neighbourhood and it would have been safer to have some sort of warning before hand. The area has a lot of street walkers. I was alarmed that no one at the hotel informed me, a women travelling alone, of the circumstances. The bathtub in my suite was not clean, nor was it stocked with the usual soap, shampoo ect, leading me to believe the bathroom was not fully cleaned before I checked in. There was also a cigaret burn through the sheet and mattress on one of the beds in my suite. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again if I needed a place to stay for one night between flights.
You get what you pay for? OK stay. - posted on 12/13/2006
I appreciated the efficiency when we checked in at the hotel. My kids liked the pool & jacuzzi, and the restaurant had decent food & great service. Our room was clean. However, while it was a non-smoking one the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke and the smell seeped into the room via the crack under the door. Yuck! Also, whenever somone walked around in the room above us, it was so loud it would drown out the tv and the vibration transferred through the wall enough to shake the bed.

This hotel is clean and it is close to the airport. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, others were not as helpful or concerned. The food in the restaurant is good. For a budget priced hotel it is a decent value.
One warning for you! - posted on 10/18/2006
This hotel was great for the price. Bed was comfy and everything was clean. The only warning I give you.....request a room on the second floor. We had a lower floor and the person above us walked around nonstop. This normally would not be a problem except the floor sqeaked so bad that we couldn't sleep past 6am because this person was up and running a half marathon in their room. Otherwise great place to stay!

The carpeting and walls need some maintenance; posted signs advise us to conserve water, yet the ice machines leaked. The housekeeping staff was a little surly, and the non-smoking rooms were iffy. The air conditioning is pre-set and you can't open the windows. But it is clean and convenient and moderately-priced. Eat elsewhere.

MUCH better than we had expected. Super close to airport but not noisy. Neighborhood not bad at all.

Stairs - posted on 01/23/2006
The only thing we didn't like was there were no rooms available on the ground floor and had to climb stairs. They had no elevator, and we have bad knees.

Convenient to airport & downtown. Not the best neighborhood. Room was clean. Courtyard was nice. No wash clothes 2 out of 3 nites. Had to have key card reprogrammed 2 out of 3 nites. Central airconditioner turned off at 8:30 pm. Diner okay (diner staff great). Would stay here again in a pinch.
Incorrect check in - posted on 12/21/2005
I had occasion to stay at this hotel as I was diverted to Phoenix by Southwest AIrlines due to fog in San Diego, so it was a last minute booking. When I checked in, the clerk did not finalize the check in process. The clerks attempted to check in 4 additional guests, who were each sent up with a key to enter my room. Finally a desk clerk called me at 11:30PM-waking me up again, to check on the status of the room. I never paid for the room as the bill was adjusted at checkout. In addition, I found this hotel impossible to sleep in, aside form the constant interruptions. The noise of the guest upstairs simply walking, was inordinately loud-enough to keep me awake, and fearful the floor would cave in on top of me.

I really enjoyed the hotel. I attend spring training every spring and always stay at the more expensive hotels, but this time I thought I would spend less on the accomadations and more on entertainment. This hotel suited me great, it was close to downtown, entertainment such as restaurants, movies, and public parks. Me and my kids will definetely be staying here again next spring!!!
Nice Place - posted on 02/24/2005
After a few nights at the Grand Canyon this was a nice and convient place to stay before returning to Alaska. The service was good, the room was fine and the dining room food and staff was good.
Terrible Location - posted on 02/23/2005
This hotel is surrounded by gay bars, porn shops, homeless people, run down and abandoned motels, a mental hospital and prison, all within 4-5 blocks. The rooms are ok, spiffed up a bit with new floor tile in the bathroom, painted tile. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking but it smelled of stale smoke. Skip it.
Non smokers - posted on 02/16/2005
I had specifically requested a non-smoking room and received verification that it would be a non-smoking room. However, we were given a smoking room when registering. The next two nights we were moved to a non-smoking room.

I stayed here simply because I wanted an inexpensive place to stay before flying out the next morning. I got a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the grounds were nice. The room was a little dingy, but everything worked. The bar was OK. The price for this place was the best feature.
Very, very nice!! - posted on 11/21/2004
Right by the airport. You read many reviews about hotels that are filthy. This one is EXTREMELY clean! Pleasant, professional staff. Very pretty pool area. You can get everything you need in the lobby: a rental car, shuttle to the airport, gifts, faxes, a good meal at Spinners retro diner, internet, even a shot & a beer. Rooms are clean and serviced promptly every day. A microwave & fridge, plus more cable channels would be nice, but you're not going to stay in a place this nice for even double the money!
