The Anchorage Down Town Hotel offers guest rooms and suites suitable for business and leisure travelers alike. The Hotel welcomes families, military visitors, school and church groups, and those in the process of relocating. It combines the ambiance of a small inn with the amenities of a larger hotel and is situated within walking distance to the downtown area, shopping centers, and attractions such as the Performing Arts Center, and the Egan Convention Center. The Coastal Trail is only one mile away for those wanting to enjoy outdoor excursions.

The Anchorage Down Town Hotel has clean and comfortable rooms, but many guests are dismayed by rooms on the lower level which feels like staying in a basement. These rooms are close to the street front entrance and are not conducive to good sleeping at night due to the outside street noise. On the other hand, other rooms are quiet. There is no elevator, only stairs, but then again this is a small family-operated inn and not a large hotel. While the rooms are small, they are clean, cozy, and comfortable. The two-story, smoke-free Anchorge Down Town Hotel offers 16 guest rooms and 3 suites--each one beautifully decorated and equipped with Cable TV (100 channels), a hair dryer, iron/ironing board, clock radio, in-room coffee maker, microwave, and mini-fridge. The rooms also feature high speed internet access, high speed WiFi access, and free local calls. The guest room windows open for guests who enjoy the fresh air. It does need to be noted that the Hotel does not have an elevator.
