The 106-room Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott and Suites Midtown Anchorage caters to both business travelers and families on vacation and is a short drive from the Fort Richardson Army Base and Elmendorf Air Force Base. The four-story, non-smoking inn provides a free shuttle to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Other items included in the room rate are a continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee in the lobby 24/7. Anchorage attractions include the Performing Art Center and the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Corporate offices within an easy drive of the inn include BP Exploration, Conoco Phillips and North Slope Telecom.

This may be a budget hotel but former guests said it had excellent cozy rooms, a helpful and efficient crew of workers and it was one of the best places to stay in the area. Some said the rooms – particularly the work desk - were small – but so were the prices for Anchorage. All the guestrooms have a work desk high-speed Internet access. Other amenities include cable television with movie channels, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, microwave oven, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and two telephones with voicemail and data ports. Video games and players are available for rent.
