The newly renovated Red Roof Inn Anchorage is a good hotel choice for business and leisure travelers who want to be near all the sites without breaking the bank. This hotel is located within close proximity to the Anchorage International Airport, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Fort Richardson Army Base, the World Trade Center-Alaska, Egan Civic and Convention Center, the Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall, and Sullivan Arena. Guests will also find plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. After spending the day taking in beautiful Anchorage, guests will be glad to come back to the warmth, comfort, and friendly hospitality at the Red Roof Inn Anchorage.

The Red Roof Inn Anchorage is newly renovated, and as a result the rooms look great. However numerous guests have complained about the beds being uncomfortable, the walls being thin, and the rooms needing a little more attention from housekeeping. The location is very convenient, but it isn't ideal --some seedy characters hanging around-- and the parking can be an issue at times. Located 1.0 miles northeast of downtown Anchorage. Traveling on Seward Highway: Continue on Seward Highway, to Gambell Street continue to E 6th Avenue. Turn right onto 6th at the next light turn left onto Karluk Street and the Red Roof Inn will be on the right. Traveling on Glenn Highway/Highway 1: Continue on Glenn Highway/Highway 1, which turns into 5th Avenue. Turn left onto Karluk Street and the Red Roof Inn will be on the left.
