About the Courtyard by Marriott Anchorage

The Courtyard by Marriott Anchorage is conveniently located just 1 mile from the Ted Stevens International Airport, 4 miles from downtown Anchorage, and within walking distance (across the street) of Lake Hood, the busiest floatplane base in the world. Most of the big jets seem to take off in a different direction, so the only planes you hear are charming floatplanes as they take off from the lake. Designed for business travelers, this property offers the rare Anchorage services of "same day valet dry cleaning," a full service business center, and another Anchorage gem, an indoor pool and fitness center! "The Courtyard Café" is the on-site restaurant and there are several other restaurants nearby. With 1,500 square feet of meeting space (2 rooms with 2 breakout spaces), they can accommodate small events and meetings (40 people or less). This may not be a stand out property, but it is a good airport hotel with the basics all covered including an airport shuttle.

The Courtyard by Marriott Anchorage is a solid Anchorage airport property. I have had several friend stay here with no complaints. In fact, the indoor pool, fitness center, and whirlpool were considered to be real perks. I read a comment from someone who thought the property was old looking. Perhaps I have seen WAY too many properties in Anchorage that are really old and ragged... but that thought did not cross my mind at all when I was there. Read our customer reviews?

Courtyard by Marriott Anchorage Accommodations

Offering 148 rooms and 6 suites, this non-smoking hotel offers air-conditioned rooms (a relatively new concept in Anchorage). They advertise luxury bedding with "thick mattresses, crisp linens, and fluffier pillows," following the current industry trend. They offer hair dryers and jet tubs in the bathrooms.

Amenities offered

Bottled water is available for a fee, but why bother when Anchorage has some of the best tap water in the world! That won't wake you up in the morning though, so there is complimentary in-room coffee and tea (as well as coffee in the lobby). They ironing boards and irons in your room, a must have if you are in Anchorage on business, and a pull out sofa bed if your family came with you. There is a safe available for your valuables at the front desk.
