Room, furniture,bed and bath all very clean.Fifth floor was quiet, perfect! Morning newspaper by the room door was sure appreciated. Staff friendly and helpful, shuttle good. Only negative, little hard to get in your restaurant with that traffic

Was not real impressed with hotel. Expected better with Best Western. Rooms needed maintenence - not real clean. Desk help not very enthusiastic- acted indifferant.

Business client for more than 20 years, hotel was once Northern Star. Inconvenience associated with current renovation can be overlooked. However, staff problems, including lack of adequate training and poor attitude, and poor management has made stays over last 12 months frustrating and unsatisfactory. Until management changes, recommend clients seek lodging elsewhere.

I spent a month there. All the people in the Susitna restuarant were very nice. Rooms were cleaned daily. Hotel personal were always helpful. I would stay there again.

Front desk help needs to know that you have fish boxes in the freezer. They need to be more knowlagable about directions for incoming guests. My experience was less than fulfilling @ your establishment to say the least.
A Bad Hotel in a Beautiful City - posted on 08/01/2006
Our room was below ground as a basement apartment would be. When cars drive by, the car lights shine in your window. The lighting in the room is horrid (picture an Interrogation room). The t.v. does not receive the programs it states it should. The towels are rough and non-absorbent. Enough said?
