We have experienced many fine hotels and lodges. Everything was first class from the quality of the room, the dining and of course the location overlooking Mobile Bay.

Our experience at the Marriott Grand Hotel was first class in every respect. The assistant front desk manager was extremely helpful.

Considering this is an old hotel built in 1846 it is very nice. I probably would not have been pleased staying in the older part of the hotel because of the smell. Old wood, etc. has a mildew or dusty smell. That triggers my asthma.

I was impressed with the spa room & the addition of the spa facilities.

The lobby, bar, & restaurant had an old smell about it.

Even though it was still under reconstruction from hurricane Katrina everyone made our stay very comfortable and pleasant. It was more than we expected. Their security was great. Would love to go back.

It was very quite and peaceful, very tranquil.
