The 80-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Mobile is a three-story motor inn providing budget-priced accommodation for both the business traveler and families on vacation. Items included with the room rate are a continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and a morning newspaper. The non-smoking inn is close to Mobile Bay and the Battleship Memorial Park where the battleship, USS Alabama is located. Other attractions include the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Bellingrath Gardens and Exploreum Science Center. The Gulf beaches are a one-hour drive away and there are 25 golf courses in the surrounding area.

Low rates and high service: That was the opinion of many guests who have stayed at this inn. The helpful front desk staff got special mention for knowing the area well and giving good advice on places to dine and visit. Fairfield Inn by Marriott Mobile Accommodations

All the guestrooms have a work area with high-speed Internet access, IDD telephone with voicemail and data port, cable television with movie channels, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer.

Amenities offered

The inn has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several places to eat nearby including O’Charleys and an Outback Steakhouse. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. There is a coin-operated laundry on site, vending machines and a fax and copying machine available for guest use. The inn also provides a dry-cleaning service.

From Mobile Airport (MOB) 7 miles: When exiting the airport, turn left onto Airport Boulevard, and go east on Airport Boulevard seven miles. Before reaching I-65 take a right onto I-65 South Service Road, follow one half mile, and the hotel is on the left.
