The 78 all-suites Residence Inn by Marriott Huntsville provides affordable extended stay accommodation for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The three-story, non-smoking property is close to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and Cummings Research Park, which is home to Northrop Grumman, Adtran, Boeing, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and Dynetics. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a hot breakfast buffet, local telephone calls, a manager’s reception on weekday evenings, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is a meeting room for social or business functions that can accommodate 35 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, the Earlyworks Interactive Museum, Point Mallard Water Park, Monte Sana State Park and the Van Braun Civic Center.

All the suites have a fireplace and a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with news and movie channels, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.

The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but the inn offers a grocery shopping service and has a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. From Huntsville Airport (HSV) 15 miles: Travel east on I-565 to exit 14, Research Park Boulevard. Then north on Research Park Boulevard for four miles. Take Highway 72 West exit. At second traffic light, Enterprise Way, turn left. Turn right behind Target on Moore Farm Lane, right on McMurtie. Turn left on Residence Inn Road. The hotel is on the right.
