Birmingham’s newest hotel in 15 years, the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown at UAB provides easy access to the medical and educational facilities of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and all the attractions of the Birmingham metropolitan area. The six-story, non-smoking hotel is a model of Marriott’s new urban Courtyard plan, with modern design and functionality. In Birmingham’s medical district, the hotel is adjacent to University Hospital and the new North Pavilion parking deck, which is connected to the hospital by a skywalk.

Courtyard Birmingham Downtown UAB Accommodations

Offering 115 guest rooms and seven suites, the Courtyard’s spacious guest accommodations combine comfort with functionality and business amenities, such as free high-speed Internet access, large desks and ergonomic chairs. Mini-refrigerators, alarm clocks, coffee makers/tea service, individual climate control, luxury bedding and cable TV round out the room amenities.

Hotel is located 9 miles from the Birmingham International Airport (BHM). From BHM, follow Airport Boulevard to I-20/59 West. Take I-20/59 West to I-65 South. Exit to I-65 South towards Montgomery (exit will be on your left). Take the 4th Avenue South Exit (259B). Continue to 19th Street South, turn right, go one block to 5th Avenue south, turn right. The hotel will be on the right. Estimated taxi fare from the airport is $20, one way.
