The Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok offers good value for money. This 607 room property is a little dated but six good restaurants, great service and comfortable rooms make up for that. It’s only a 10 minute ride from Don Muang Airport (30 minutes from the new Suvarnabhumi Airport) close to Chatuchak Park and Chatuchak Market, Central Plaza Shopping Centre and the Bangkok Convention Centre. It is an easy taxi ride into the city center – if you take the toll expressway. Good economic spot for both leisure travelers and businessmen who don’t need to be in the city center.
