When Don Muang Airport closed in 2006 and the Suvanaphumi Airport became Bangkok's International Airport, many feared the Amari hotel at Don Muang airport was doomed. However numerous problems at the new airport forced the reopening of Don Muang in early 2007 for domestic flights and the hotel again provides quality lodging for air passengers. The hotel, long known for good service and facilities, has several golf courses nearby, and has convention facilities with a ballroom capable of handling 1,000 people. Not ideal for tourists wanting to visit Bangkok, but convenient if you use the airport or like playing golf.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Yes, if you are using the airport. No, if you want to tour Bangkok. You will find better deals in the city – especially at other Amari hotels. Read our customer reviews?
