Don’t let the name put you off. This 575-room hotel gets its name from the nearby Pratunam market. Pratu means gate and Nam means water. Shoppers and businessmen have the best of both worlds. The hotel is close to the World Trade Centre and also the Siam Square shopping mall. Sukhumvit Road and Silom are a short distance away. There’s plenty of space if you want to give a party. The ballroom can handle up to 1,000 guests for a cocktail party or seat 800 for a banquet. This is a quality city hotel with fine dining, one of the biggest hotel pools in Bangkok, and a very special spa.

Marble bathrooms are just one of the luxury touches in the beautifully furnished 575 rooms (that includes 19 corner suites, 49 executive rooms and seven executive suites). All room categories have two hand basins and a long bath, wall safe, hairdryer, minibar and Internet access.

There are several good places to wine and dine. In addition great buffets are served at breakfast, lunch and dinner in The Promenade. Snacks and drinks are available at the Headlines Lobby Bar, the Bakery and at the attractive swimming pool. There is also a children's pool, fitness center, massage rooms, squash courts, gym, shopping arcade, tour desk and the upmarket Sivara Spa.
