Many believe that the Shangri-La is the best hotel in Bangkok. It certainly continues to be one of the top ten hotels in the world. It is a place where nothing is too much trouble, luxury is everywhere, service is unbelievable and you check-out with reluctance and a smile on your face even if the bill is staggering. The hotel has a total of 799 rooms and 52 suites in two wings, Shangri-La and Krungthep. The Krungthep Wing also offers 24 serviced apartments for long-term stays, with full use of hotel facilities and services. Once you have stayed here everything else seems second rate.

Stay here and you’ll never regret it or forget it. Even a room service breakfast with fresh roses and crisp white linens is a memorable meal. There’s enough going on to spend an entire vacation without venturing outside. There is a signature spa, tennis and squash courts. Shangri-La Hotel Accommodations

The finest in furniture and furnishings adorn every room and suite. Thai silk and teak is used throughout. You can select a pillow of your choice. Switches at the bedside not only operate lights but can draw and open the curtains. Shangri-La has its own special brand of high quality toiletries. Duvets are stuffed with feathers and the towels are incredibly white and fluffy.

Amenities offered

Every restaurant and bar in the complex is unbeatable. You can dine when you like on what you like. The vast counter in the lobby – uncluttered with the normal brochures and promotional material – offers every service from foreign exchange to arranging a limousine or booking a show. The gardens along the Chao Phraya river, ideal for an evening stroll, provide shade and shelter for the swimming pool. Room service is superb and swift. Numerous boutiques display treasures from around the world.
