Chain: Le Meridien
friendly comfort - posted on 05/23/2006
Ride from airport short, food options in and around hotel of good and affordable variety. Service staff all friendly. Hotel looks fresh. Noticed only staircase was availble to enter F&B. Breakfast was a bit crowded. Security well operated. Astonishing view! Lovely village area not far from downtown and no crowds of people! It's a deal of good value and I'd love to stay again.
Better To Stay Downtown - posted on 04/14/2006
I booked this Le Meridien website, but when you get there, the sign says "Changi Village Hotel", no mention of Le Meridien and I didn't get my frequent stay points. Rooms were freshly done and decent, but it took 15-20 minutes to get there from the airport and for an extra 5 minutes in the superb Singapore taxi system, I could have been on Orchard Road. Won't do it again, I'm afraid.

Even though marketed as airport hotel, was refused dinner in restaurant on arrival at 23.4hrs, even though group checking- in beside me where told restaurant was open for them til 1am. De-luxe room was very basic. No double-glazing so noise of aircraft very disturbing. Paper thin dividing walls so also woken up every time occupant of next door room coughed. Worst hotel I have said in in S E Asia for years

This hotel is a really good place to stay if you want to break your journey. I had a club room which included breakfast and free drink between 6 and 8 pm. Not many people used it. Pool was unable to be used as there was a function on which was a pity. Its not a hotel to stay in if you want to sight see and shop in Singapore but for a restful for night between flights it was great.

This is a pretty handy hotel to Changi airport, Ferry Terminal and East Coast. Quite a way from the city. Recent refurb. Lost of local Singpore type food options.
