Truly one of the leading hotels of the world - posted on 05/29/2007
This is such an excellent hotel, room has plenty of space, bathroom is so pleasing, everything has a touch of class, even the services. The pool is fantastic with a skyscrapers view of Singapore and open 24 hours. The location is fantastic, with Marina square just next door and close to the City Hall MRT station. I definitely recommend Marina Mandarin hotel.

Their lounge is on the 4th floor lobby of the hotel, and there is live music and entertainers every night. Music resonates throughout the hotel So, if you are looking for a quiet rest after a long day, you may like to think otherwise. Service is inflexible. They loss my reservation and I was locked out of my room. I don't think I am being treated well.

after 20 different stays in singapore,we stayed at the marina mandarin hotel for 5 nights and i have to say it was absolutely great. after a small plumbing problem we were at once upgraded to a suite for the remaining 4 nights.a really top property.
Poor service - posted on 02/20/2006
My wife and I decided to stay at this hotel due to it being revamped. The hotel itself is very nice and has been layed out well but there's no point in putting all that effort into redoing the hotel when the quality of service is the poorest I've seen in a long time. The only good thing I can say is the duty manager was very good and also the guy who brought our bags to the room.I would not waste my time and money staying here again.
Great Hotel - posted on 02/28/2005
This is a fantastic five star hotel in a great location. The rooms are large and well furnished and the buffet breakfast can not be beat. I have stayed there three times and will continue staying there whenever I visit Singapore
Marina and Colonial District - posted on 02/14/2005
The best thing about the Marina Mandarin is the location -- across from the Esplanade and blocks from the Raffles Plaza and the Colonial District - easy to get cabs and close to the subway. This is a grand hotel that has passed its prime. It's nice and has great features, but you get the impression that they are not as concerned about keeping everything as fabulous as it used to be.Service was great in the breakfast room (international buffet open at 6:30 and recommended) and at the recepetion and concierge desks.

Stayed here least 6 times on business. They do a sloppy job in cleaning the room & bathroom. They make it look like the sheets are changed everyday, but they don't change them for the entire stay.
