Checked in smoking room even prior reserved non-smoking room months ago. The room at 334 has unpleasant smell and condition was bad. Air-con not cool. Not worthy to pay so much, YMCA rooms is much better that it!

Great location for shopping, the bed and pillows are fantastic. Room was really clean with free broadband and non alcoholic mini bar.
We loved it there - posted on 08/24/2006
Staying at the Royal Plaza was great. Free broadband, 6 free drinks in the minibar every day. The staff was very helpful. The rroms were quite big, and everything was clean. The breakfast was awesome. The only drawback is that the Hotel is in the middle of high rise buildings and there are only a few rooms with a view. But all in all it's a great place. We will go back there.anytime.
Excellent for business travellers - posted on 06/19/2006
Just right for business. Super location, with taxi stands a sheltered walk on both sides of the street heading both ways. All shopping at your doorstep. Great service, efficient hotel safe service, checkin / out and internet. Rooms can do with some updations. Food is average - but in Singapore you'd never eat in your hotel, and room service is quick and tasty when you need it.

This hotel has one of the best locations in Singapore. It used to be a Crowne Plaza property. I did not like being on an unsecured floor (swimming pool level) and as often happens, think I got the worst room as an unaccompanied female. Friends who visited there with their family said they got a great room. My room was run down and the whole place seemed grubby to me. One good thing: mini bar is stocked every day... free for the taking.
