The historical enclave of Chinatown is less than a mile away while a 10-minute taxi ride brings one to leisure-destination island, Sentosa. Dining options at Amara Singapore include Thai, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. Guests can also sip coffee at Café Oriental or listen to some jazz tunes at the Alphabet Bar. Retail therapy is available at the adjacent Amara Shopping Arcade, where the Union Square bar on the second-level draws the local salsa dance community on weekends.

By car: From the airport, travel along the East Coast Parkway in the direction of the city. Exit on to Keppel Road then turn right to Tanjong Pagar Road. Amara Singapore is on the right side.
