This hotel was said to be new - it was old and the tiny box- like room was in dire need of restoration. The furniture was minimal and old. The bathroom contained a shower - no curtain - a red washbasin and a toilet - not attractive. The 'free' breakfast was western but limited in choice. Staff were friendly and generally helpful but limited by facilities. I would not recommend this hotel.

For the price the hotel charges, this is definitely a place to avoid. I stayed 3 nights with my mum & my infant son & couldn't wait to leave. There was no staff helping you with your luggages & any services offered were very basic & limited. The breakfast was disappointing and the room was very small. I had to go back to Singapore on the way back to Perth & was glad to have chosen to stay at Meritus Mandarin after this awful choice of hotel!

hotel is in a good location close on the river and within easy walking distance of Orchard road Clarke Quay and there are many eating and entertaiment establishments with 5min walk, great hotel for those on a budget

Travelling as a single female, I found the hotel just perfect. The room was small but I really liked that. Very, very clean and with a great view of the city! Very close the strip of restaurant/clubs/pubs near Clarke Quay. I was very happy with the hotel and the price. For a few extra dollars I connected to high-speed internet on my laptop in the room. All the comforts of home for a nice price!
