When I asked about the surrounding areas for tourist, the concierge desk staff sounds like not helpful and I guess they just don't know what is meant by customer services in a hopsitality industry.

This hotel was very nice, clean, and accommodating. There was nothing bad about it. The only thing I wish were different was its proximity to the MRT (subway). It's a good 20 minute walk to the nearest MRT station (Chinatown). In the Singapore heat, you practically need a change of clothing by the time you reach the MRT station!
