People put towels out in the am to save chairs all day long. The lines to go and use the bathroom were long. Noisy Hotel, stay somewhere else.

Hotel on furthest end (towards the airport) of the Costera. Wal-Mart across the street. Pool area is great. View is great. Highly recommended

Expected More - posted on 05/23/2007

As others have commented, I really liked the hotel lobby, grounds, pools, and staff. However, the rooms were really lacking. This hotel should not be a "Regency". The mattress was thin and uncomfortable, everything was just old and rundown in the room. The room felt like an old motel not a Hyatt Regency.

This was the second time that my wife and I stayed at this hotel, and we have been very satisfied both times. We requested a quiet room both times, and the ones assigned to us were nothing less than terrific. They were on a quiet floor and the view was spectacular. The staff was very polite and accomodating, and they keep the hotel very clean. The pool area is very nice and also very large, with an ample amount of deck chairs for sunbathing.

Pleasantly Surprised - posted on 03/08/2007

Service was good, two pools to choose from, good breakfast buffet, and a very nice location, which is clost to a lot of things to do in downtown Acapulco.

HORRIBLE!!!! - posted on 02/11/2007

This hotel was so horrible we checked out 3 hours after checking in. The rooms where disgusting. They smelled like must, paint was all over everything, the frig look like it had never been cleaned and the bathrooms walls were stained. We only had one pillow each and they were stuffed in the closest. Grounds and lobby looked lovely. They hid the horrific rooms. I would NEVER stay there again.

Get me out of here - posted on 02/06/2006

Rooms are old with items missing or broken, guests were found cooking on hibachis in their rooms, we had several late afternoon power outages of up to 4 hours, there were kids staying on the Regency level, the majority of guests were rude, obnoxious, loud, and treated all others guests and staff like dogs.
