Shinagawa Prince Hotel is very classy - posted on 06/14/2006
We enjoyed the hotel. Great location.
Convenient and Safe - posted on 07/17/2006
The Shinagawa Prince Hotel is conveniently located across from Shinagawa Station, a main station on the Yamanote train line that circles Tokyo. The Shinagawa area is also very safe and most people will speak English to be of help. I stayed in the Executive Tower and enjoyed it because of the included breakfast at the Yahoo! Cafe and the free Internet access. The staff is courteous and the service great. I had a great view toward Mt. Fujii. Don't expect a spacious room that you might be accustomed to in the U.S. Remember that it is Japan where space is tight and things are smaller.

Included breakfast in the Yahoo cafe was not good and had only 2 set options.
A city in itself! - posted on 10/07/2005
First, I highly recommend that you stay in Shinagawa. It is exciting, centrally located, yet not as overwhelming as Shinjuku or Shibuya. The Prince Hotel is a city in itself. It has 3 towers, I recommend the Executive Tower or the New Tower (New Tower Panoramic View Rooms are out of this world!). Look at the hotel website and you will see all the stuff there is to do here. No complaints at all, but it's time for them to update their TVs. I can't overstate how nice the panoramic window rooms are.

Pleasant hotel, large and bustling. Rooms cramped by western standards, not bad by Tokyo standards. Pleasant staff. Restaurant hours are rather limited, although there are a wide range of food choices at the hotel. They charge you Y1100 every time you use the pool, but they'll give you Y1000 every other day if you forego room service.
Shinagawa prince - the best hotel in japan - posted on 05/16/2005
we stayed at 6 + hotels whilst in japan, the shinagawa prince was by far the best. An extra highlight was the fact the Shinagawa train station was one of the four stops on the express train from Narita Airport. Especially helpful for first-visit, non-japanese speaking holiday makers. Highly recommended
Great service - posted on 03/23/2005
The air circulation in the room was very poor. This comment is really my only negative criticism. The Yahoo Cafe was a great feature, and I would return just to have that service.
