DAI-ICHIBAN - posted on 05/31/2007
By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was absolutely fantastic, especially since virtually the entire staff spoke english. The beds were comfortable, the tv was plasma. The local subway station was convieniently located down the street and every taxi driver we encountered knew the Dai-ichi's location enabling us to travel worry free after hours. I know submitting a 5 star rating seems a bit exaggerated, but this hotel in my opinion deserves 10 stars just from how wonderful my experience was.
Fantastic Service - posted on 05/16/2007
Stayed there for 9 days in May 2007 and the service at this hotel is fantastic. All of the staff is so courteous and attentive to your needs. Also, the hotel is in a great locations, not far from the Imperial Palace, Tsujiki fish market, and Ginza. Only criticism I have is that the rooms need renovating. Pink carpets in the hallway look worn and doesn't fit with the rest of the decor. The hotel is more suitable for the leisure traveler, not business person. There wasn't much work space in the room to set up your computer and there's no wireless internet service.

The location is excellent for tourist as it's only takes 2 mins walk from JR station. The hotel is beautiful and room is really comfortable and clean. Highly recommended t tourist or business traveller.
Wonderful hotel in Downtown Tokyo - posted on 11/08/2006
wonderful place; did not expect something fabulous for a reasonable price in Tokyo; took me a while to find it from the train station because there was no map provided on the website
Love the Dai Ichi Hotel Tokyo! - posted on 05/15/2005
I love it here. I am staying here for 35 days in May and June. I am VERY picky about my hotels. I enjoy this hotel, the staff is friendly and recognizable. A small "town" feeling, in a big, bright hotel. The place is airy, upbeat and over services. I will return for holiday in the future. The location at Shimbashi station is second to none for going to Ginza, Roppongi or anywhere else. It is very reasonably priced!
