not worth the money - posted on 02/24/2007
The only good thing about this hotel is that basic continental greakfast is included. The front desk staff could use hospitality course. The rooms have cracked tiles , dirty grout and yellow stains on the ceiling. Hotel location is in close proximity to drug area and other seedy elements. Would not recommend walking outside at night. Disappointing stay.

Not bad for a Hotel in downtown Kingston. The lack of elevator help you lower your dinner when you stayed in the third floor and depart at 6 in the morning.

Room extremly small, not many power outlets, Internet cable at room was too short, restaurant choices were small, breakfast is limited and service is slow, good for the price

The room was kept cool, but the beds were hard as a rock. The water pressure in the shower was poor at best. The first night we did not have light in the bedroom area; only the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay there again.
Isolation? - posted on 08/25/2006
Hotel is not in walking distance as ad states. The area is so so,would not walk it by myself day or nite.Needs some entertainment for guest who spend the weekends there.Hotel is ok if you don't want to be bothered by noise, people etc.take books, needle work.Place is great for those who need to get away to think and just relax or who just need to be alone.Isolation, peace and quiet can be found at the Knutsford.
Good place to stay in Kingston - posted on 07/01/2006
This was my first time back in Kingston, in 6 yrs and at this hotel. It has a good location, the service was excellent and the staff friendly and has all the basic services. Very good value for money.
Great service - posted on 05/16/2006
The staff was very helpful. They were willing to go out of their way in order to take care of us. The food was very good, but there is really only one resturant. Room service was quick. The room was well kept, but was noticeably old. I think we were in one of the original sections. I would recommend this hotel to others that are not looking for the amenities you would get at the Hilton or Pegisus

The service was fairly good. The food was good but could have been better. They need to add more local dishes on the menu. The phone's should have caller ID's. Other than that the service was excellent.
Average - posted on 11/12/2004
This hotel was quite average although having a very tropical garden like feel upon entering the main lobby area. The food was also pretty good but the drawbacks were the very narrow passage way to the rooms, the eyesore of a view from our room - we opted for the $/night room while our friends chose the $/ night room which had a wonderful view - and lack of elevators.
